It really bothers me about how dangerous this hobby can be for both genders. Some people get off on power, just realize that power is not sex and sex by itself is pleasure even if it is not intimate. To be intimate usually brings with it a personal involvement that is lacking most times in the hobby.

Too bad, but the meanest guys can't develop an intimate relationship; thus, they opt for the quick fuck that leaves them empty but not truly satisfied because they have used another person for a sperm toilet. Rather than leaving satisfied, they leave as mean as they were when they arrived. Dangerous guys.

For the guys, there are girls in the hobby whose only thought is to see how much money they can take from the guy, and that becomes obvious in a short time. Just why do some girl have to have a certain amount of money every day, or they turn crazy? (Duh, we all know why.) Dangerous girls.

It seems to be common, at least for the sweet ladies I meet, that sooner than later they retire. The just get tired of the life, especially with a pimp or meeting the mean guys.

I admit, I am a good listener; when a lady wants to talk I listen, and I can recall the consistency in conversations which is an indication of truth.

Wow, that is too bad. It is hard not to care, and it has been my experience that the majority of providers are very caring and empathetic. i have tried to help a few ladies and show them that they can be independent, fiscally responsible, etc. It has been filled with drama, so sad. Good advice Gemma.

There is a lot about this topic and the hobby that I don't know and probably never will but my guess is that management will prey on the weak ie young and inexperienced, new to the hobby and not really sure how to handle. I know I forget how little a 19 or 20 year old knows about stuff. there is no easy answer because they are young and vulnerable. I certainly don't know what the answer is.

You make an excellent point which also brings me to just add that I mentioned no names in my thread. And, I do not want anyone to put their neck on the line and then get taken for a ride. I, personally would only offer advice to the girl but I was hoping my thread and a lot of quality posts on here by others would be an eye-opener for her. I am quite sure that although she may be in a bad position, that anyone giving her money with promised dates or buying her things she may need\want will probably not be offering her the help she will appreciate and use to better her situation. I am very troubled by any other provider acting as a manager and I realize that a girl in this situation must want to help herself first and foremost.

Thanks Gemma. And all of you ladies that have responded. If I have any suspicions at all during a first encounter, I ask point blank if she's here by choice. I know you're never going to get "no" for an answer, but I try to gauge he responses to see. I grew up in a home with abuse. And I know that there's a self deception that takes hold sometimes. So you almost have to guess whether she's being honest with you or her self.

As far as a lady being the pimp, we're all human and capable of the same evils. And I wouldn't be surprised if the lady managing isn't being managed too.

holly, good for you! sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
same goes for people w/ destructive habits [drugs, alcohol, debt, sex, etc].
we each have a choice whether or not we offer whatever help we can.

and it's good that someone brings this up every so often - the more we know about this, the more we can act/react "informatively".

if you have some time, watch the video linked to in post #13. one thing that struck me when i saw it a few yrs ago - she talked about how she took care of her girls. yes, she was the madame and was talking a cut of their revenue. but it seemed to me that she cared about those who worked for her.
