Question Heard of a "Diletto??"

So I had some down time today and was reading the sex guide written by French author, Betony Vernon. She mentions "diletto" throughout the book. When I first saw it, I thought "dildo + stiletto = diletto" but I gather that this is an Italian word for 'dildo' and footwear isn't involved. I think it also means 'happiness' (?) which makes sense.

Any ladies heard of this word before? Mia? Claire? Anyone??

I find it interesting that it hasn't weaseled its way into American sex lingo...

YES!!!
This has to be one of the most beautiful practical application, piece of art, I've ever seen! I do collect glass dildos and I've long coveted this. It's hand made Venetian Glass. Expertly weighted. Something about it being forged from fire, makes my mouth water, and my nipples hard.

I WANT ALL OF THEM, but think the Open Air is exquisite.....

Wow...very nice. Thanks for the pic, Mia!

So a 'diletto' is a glass dildo...not one of those latex/silicone models everywhere?

I checked with a friend of mine who speaks proper Roman Italian. Diletto's literal translation means delight...... It can refer to anything that brings pleasure. Can you think of a better, more appropriate name for this lovely piece of art?

Mia, I like that word - can be used for a lot of things that bring 'delight.'

Loxly, it is pricey - guess that's why you're calling it the 'Tiffany tickler?'

Correct! I was into collectible glass for several years. Fenton, Imperial, Heisey, et al. Another collector I knew actually had something similar but I believe it was a Bavarian piece and had small knobbies.

I have a glass dildo that has knobbies on it...looks great.

But I'm always wondering if the glass will eventually chip and irritate the nether bits of the person it's used on...I know glass can be very, very strong but if it were dropped during play I'd likely not use it until it could be thoroughly inspected for chips, etc....
