Environmentalists give up, there is just too much damn ice
Well the decision was made. An ice locked ship is not going to get out so they are going to evacuate the environmental team that was going to document global warming. This is summer in the Antarctic and there was more ice that they expected. So much for that research and hypothesis.
Wonder if they learned anything?

I'm sure they learned something..."CO2 is causing a new ICE AGE, we better pass more laws and regulate output!!!"

NASA Finds Thickest Parts of Arctic Ice Cap Melting Faster
This interactive illustrates how perennial sea ice has declined from 1980 to 2012. The bright white central mass shows the perennial sea ice while the larger light blue area shows the full extent of the winter sea ice including the average annual sea ice during the months of November, December and January. The data shown here were compiled by NASA senior research scientist Josefino Comiso from NASA's Nimbus-7 satellite and the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Meteorological Satellite Program. Ok, let's get one thing straight here. Global Warming is a Myth. However, Climate Change is a reality and has been for the 400 or so Million Years this planet has been in existance. Man has only been around for best guess 12,000 Years from start of evolution to Modern Man. We have been engaged in heavy industy resulting in Air and Water Pollution for only about the last 300 or so Years. We have some Scientific documentation of the conditions in the recorder's part of the World going back about 700 Years. But we only have anything resembling acurate climate records for the entire Planet going back about 250 Years to be generous. We really don"t have 100% acurate records until the Space age of the 1950's and the first Planetary observation Satellites (which were initially only video equipped Weather Satellites) were launched. We know from studying the Geologic & Ice Core records that there have been multiple cooling and warming events over the life of the Planet, at least 5 Major Ice ages that covered the entire Northern Hemisphere, 3 Warming events that melted all the ice on the Planet and at least 2 events that completely stripped the Planet of its atmosphere and all life that existed on it at that time. So basiclly there are and always have been much larger forces than Man causing changes in our worlds environment. We barely understand these forces let alone have any idea how to exert any control over them.

How dare you challenge the Admiral's well-reasoned and deeply analytical conclusions about that boat getting stuck in ice! Don't forget about his naval career and all...he knows boats and water...and ice, I guess....and now everyone knows that this event spells the end of the global-warming hoax. Finally. Who would have thought that something that just looks like...I dunno...an accident or miscalculation, would be the thing that finally puts the global-warming debate to bed. Way to go Admiral. I bet the Koch brothers will be offering you a research fellowship soon.
And, citing NASA?!?
Pfffft. The Admiral scoffs at such scientific research! Those guys can build rocket ships and go to the moon and Mars and stuff....but, they are no match for the Admiral's super-incandescent intellect. Blinding us all with it's brilliance.

OK - I'll admit it is funny, but it is anecdotal. Your own half-assed observations don't trump 20 well controlled scientific studies.

Okay, I'll play along....can you cite those 20 studies?
As for ice, they thought is was summer time.

What would be the point? You think a ship getting caught in ice in Antarctica is proof that supports your position. You're going to change your mind in the face of scientific studies?
You're a fucking idiot, as usual. Happy New Year, asshat.
