What browser are you using?
Hi All,
I've used Firefox for many years and had good luck with it. Now it's
a horror story. It is constantly lagging and not responding.
I went to the Mozilla help page and it said to reset Firefox which I did.
That helped for a few hours but now I'm back to square one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Your obedient servant,
AM Woody

I like FF add-ins. I hate Chrome only because it installs itself very slyly when you install other programs. It is a well respected browser, I just don't like sneaky installs. It's BS marketing.

Safari and Chrome. Both are awesome. Safari is faster at the moment, but they go back and forth.
On Windows, there is only one choice - Chrome.

Thanks for the replies. I've heard good things about Chrome.
The specs on my computer are:
1. OS is Windows 7
2. Ram: 4.00 GB
3. CPU: Intel Core i3, 2.53 GH2
I guess many people are having trouble with FF but I'm not sure why it has gone so far downhill.

Uninstall FF and do a clean install.
You might also run a bloatware program like Spybot and see if there's anything on your system that's gumming up the works. Same with your anti-virus program.

Besides speed, there are two things I expect from a browser:
1. Ability to manage bookmarked pages quickly.
2. Privacy and blocking features either through design or add-ins.
3. Massive configuration options.
How does Chrome stack up in these areas? Does it have a hack similar to FF about:config? (If you call it a "hack").
I know I could install it and figure it out myself, but there seem to be a few expert Chrome users here that may be willing to cut my learning curve.

Searching in incognito mode will usually speed up
any browser.
This site has some good suggestions for speeding up Chrome.

I haven't found the "one" browser yet, for work or play. Google wants to know what color your toothbrush is and where you bought it, so trust Chrome like you trust Google. It does work most of the time though. I've never had a lot of luck with FF.
Uncompensated shill...xmarks, LastPass and ccleaner are my best friends on or around the internet.

I like Netscape Navigator 1.0. It's a little slow though.
