WOW! I just want to thank everyone that made it to our impromptu bday celebration. Especially impressive, given that this was organized less than 48 hours out. Great turnout!

We had 7 ladies in attendance, 5 from Killeen/Temple. We had 5 local gents in attendance. There were a couple of ladies not able to make it at the last minute - real world gets in the way at times, we missed you!

There were a few men and women who had never been to any of our local social events in the past. We ended up kicking it off right on time at 4:30 and there were still 4 of us an hour and a half after our scheduled ending time still having fun.

What a great night of conversation, flirting and fun! I also hear rumors that several people had fun at their own "after-parties". With our ratio of women to men, Knotty ended up taking home two ladies..... hmmm, I thought it was MY bday party! LOL.

It was a genuine pleasure to see everyone and especially nice to meet new people.

We had a public venue, no name tags or anything that drew attention the wrong way. It was laid back and a lot of fun. I know our waitress was very happy, she said her month was made.

I want to thank Passion for organizing the event and for her gift, I want to thank a certain hobbyist for his extreme generosity in picking up the tab. Crisp salute, sir.

(for those of you wondering why some people are named and some are not, the long standing tradition in our community is that for social events, you get to be anonymous in your attendance. No one is allowed to "out" you publically as having been there. In this case, Knotty, Passion and myself have publically "outed" ourselves as attending. You are free to chime in at any point and admit to attendance, otherwise, your attendance by name is not mentioned until/unless such a time).

Looking ahead, I thought the venue was excellent and I know for certain the manager and waitress will be happy to see us again. For a relatively impromptu gathering, I could not have dreamed of a better success.

Thanks to you all for making my birthday memorable. Thanks for your generosity, camaraderie, companionship and fun. I will remember this one for a long time!
