Hello Ladies...
This is SL. My ATF had something come up. My plan B took a shit. This is a site wide BLUE BALLS alert. I need your help pronto.

Blue balls?!?? You should just take those bands off your scrotum.....and.....
NO, tying those up does not make your penis appear any larger!
On a serious note.......I can think of quite a number of reasons why guys posting instead of providers will be a bad idea

I don't take it as except as you described!! Our warnings/points are all pre-loaded in categories in a Moderator only accessible area. To issue warnings and/or points the Owners would have to get the programmers to set up new fields with new values so everything is consistent. I think I mentioned earlier that the owners are not fans of the SNA threads so getting them to do extra work and programming to accommodate this is not going to happen!!!
I do realize from the outside it looks really simple, but when you start adding new areas that require new guidelines and new procedural items, it makes work that many feel is not beneficial. Also if a lady in one city (where they have one set of SNA Thread guidelines) travels to a different city with different guidelines then she could get warned or pointed for doing something that was allowed where she was based, but not in the city being visited.
That's why when the Owners reluctantly agreed to allow us to try this, the Staff came up with real simple guidelines for the SNA threads. One of the largest issues that we had was pictures. Ladies could not refrain from posting pictures. Here were the simple guidelines:
Providers using this Thread agree to abide by the following simple posting guidelines:
1. Same Day Only, not the night before!
2. Do not list a range of times... "available from 3-5 or 12-4 or rest of the day" or " say I am back in town and available". These WILL be removed
3. List the time that your appt cancelled ONLY..."my 4pm cancelled..." "My 2:30pm and 6pm" have cancelled" is fine...
4. I know short notice is NOT the same to everyone but for the sake of this threAD and to keep things in order ONLY post the EXACT time that your appt has cancelled.
5. Please try and post when your appt has been filled
6. You may list HOW LONG your cancelled appt was for as well
7. No pictures
8. Did I say NO PICTURES???
Failure to comply will cause your posts to be "unapproved" which means they will not be viewable to anyone except staff.
Basically only 4 simple guidelines and they couldn't stick to them. The powers that be are not going to create new infrastructure to accommodate a SNA thread.

Here is a great example!!!! I post the simple guidelines for the SNA Thread and AustintatiousLilly Adds her .02 in post number 2.
http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?...t=short+notice
Then along comes destiny.love in post number 3 and immediately ignores guidelines numbers 1, 2, 3, and 6!!!!!
This was constant!!! And remember this was after I had closed 2 other SNA threads, posted the guidelines multiple times, re-opened threads to give it another chance, and finally opened this NEW SNA thread with the guidelines right up front and someone had to F it up by post number 3!!!!!!!! Can you imagine how many of these one would have in a 24 hour period???? It would make a preacher cuss!!!!

That sums it up. Without the means to apply negative reinforcement, I can see why the offenders will just keep flouting the rules, causing too much work for the mods.
Blue balls? Yea well, I can live with that.....
Appreciate you taking the time to clarify, Space.

I haven't read any of the responses, but it works in San Antonio.. I use it as a way to let people know I'm playing today.

Why so many damn rules? We can post in the San Antonio Short Notice once every 12 hours and our availability has to be within a few hours range. We can't post anything besides that we are avail and where/what we can do (incall/outcall). No rates, pics, quirky quotes. That's it.

Space is posting the guidelines that came through Staff discussions I think...
If you haven't learned much you have to admit that you've learned that JJ never got trained and Mokoa plays by his own rules..... or selectively enforces others.
In reviewing the San Antonio version of the thread I would say that Mokoa is not remotely policing it to the rules to enforce the rules established. It's not "short and sweet and there are many "full blown ads"...

I don't get what you mean. JJ has always been helpful to me. I've never really spoken with Mokoa however so I can't say anything about him.

Anyone that knows me know that a core principle I believe in is the free flow of information and I believe a Short Term Availability thread has a purpose.
I don't believe that you guys have it properly defined. I think Rules are too broad for some of the ladies in Austin.....
Is there ANY provider that does not have 1HR free in the next 12? Too many ladies were parking ads twice a day every day over and over and over.
Personally, as a guy, I can see wanting what I want when I want it. It is 10:05PM as I type this. I want to get laid in the next couple of hours.... Not at 8AM tomorrow morning.
I would prefer to see ads from a provider who logged in during the last hour that is available at 11PM!
I don't think it should be able to be blatantly used day after day after day.....
What's right?
I don't know... Here is MY opinion and if I was looking it gives me everything I need to know....
1. Post the EXACT time that you are available and the length of time you need to fill WITHIN THE NEXT 6 HOURS and ONE preferred method of contact!
example it's 10PM
Tracy Posts..... Had a 2 hr appt cancel for 11PM... any takers? PM me. <== OK
Tracy Posts ..... I had a 10AM cancel tomorrow morning..... NOT OK....
2. You may post twice on any calendar day but not within 6 hours of your last post.
3. Turn off your Signature for the post!
4. Links are not allowed
5. Pictures are not allowed
6. Discussion are not allowed.
That's it.... Pretty simple right? Why does anyone need more?
Violations?
1st Time - Remove Post and Warning
2nd Time - Remove Post and Warning and Prohibit from Posting again for 1 Week
3rd Time - Prohibit from ever using thread again.
That's how I would run it.

And just to clarify, it doesn't have to be a time slot that opened because of a cancellation, right? I never figured out how that would be monitored, or why it was that important.....since anyone could make it up.
There might not be much we can do with providers wanting to park their ads twice a day, if they are indeed available on short notice for certain hours every day.....unless we can think of some rule to curb that.....assuming we really need to.....

If mods have the power to bar posters from a specific thread, that would work.....it could be quite a hassle if the mod has to manually remove postings from a provider who blatantly continues posting despite the ban.

I agree.... Mods in the regular Forums do not have the necessary tools to enforce with one exception and it takes a bit longer probably.
A MOD can issue a Directive to a Member to NOT post to the thread and it's a lot of points to directly disobey that directive and a person could then walk themselves up to a 90 day point ban pretty fast.
Plus as I understand the process a Mod has to go to when editing a thread or deleting something... It's a real hassle..... I can understand why they don't want to invest the time.

I'll weigh in here:
1) Thanks mods for the extra work, and for explaining the reasons why this has been an issue in the past.
2) I LOVE the idea. It would be a huge help for me.
3) I really don't understand the focus on limiting the number of Ads. Especially if they are concentrated in a single thread rather than spammed across the entire site.

Here's how to limit over-posting: a provider's rate for immediate availability must be 30% less than her advertised rate.
