im based in California

and was wondering what places to stay and cities as well.

im thinking of planning another trip out that way.

and what are some good place to eat at as well.

Depending on the length of your possible trip it would be cool so see someone move around the metroplex. The DFW area is pretty spread out a lot of visitors go for the most popular high traffic area which is cool because where there is a desire a guy will travel but I think it would be cool if I knew a visitor was "was coming to a city near you" in a staggered release type fashion. Instead of me making the trek across the metroplex on Monday, I wait till you come closer on Wednesday for example.

Galleria area of Dallas is great...alot of upscale eateries and hotels

The Tin Star is nothing fancy but is a cool gourmet taco cafe

North Dallas area from the galleria north to Addison has lots of fine places to stay, eat and play etc etc

agreed on n. dallas area near galleria.

in addition to Tin Star, there is a Taco Cabana on Montfort north of Belt Line - really good Tex-Mex food for a low price!! they even have frozen Tequila margaritas [not wine-a-ritas].
