Then you held the city hostage while you shopped the franchise from second tier city to second tier city.

Then you insisted that the city spend $100 million to refurbish the Astrodome to keep the team here ten years.

Then you cancelled a pre-season game right before kickoff capping off years of ill will towards the fans.

Then you moved the team to Nashville after they promised you years of sell-outs.

Before you moved, you let the team twist in the wind. We rightly rewarded you with embarrassingly sparse attendance.

Hey don't forget he also gave us cherry glanville and WARREN MOTHERFUCKING MOON...

You can't put all the blame on ole bud adams. The damn harris county sports authority should've ponied up the money and did what had to be done to keep the oilers here. It ended up costing them WAY more in the long run when you add up all the lost revenue of the years we had no team and the hundreds of millions it cost to bring in an expansion team.

All that's nothing compared to the evil crap he pulled on Cleveland Williams. Big Cat was getting his wraps just minutes before his fight with Cassius Clay, and that's when Adams had him served with a lawsuit...it hit him just as hard as that .357 mag hollow point he took in his gut a couple years before. Harder. That slug didn't defeat the Cat, but Adams' lawsuit took all the fight out of him. Cleveland was a good man, and my friend. His handshake meant more to him than any contract ever would. Adams wasn't just a rat, he was evil.

ps..Cleveland passed in about 1999 when he got runded over on his way to or from hemodialysis. He was unrecognizably broke down in appearance by then but still .... The FUCKING BIG CAT! So soft spoken that even when I could hear good I had to listen hard to hear what he said.
