Not-so-sad Brady pulled off a miracle win over the Saints yesterday:

It was an euphoric Sunday for Boston sports faithfuls (including me), with the Red Sox also staging a dramatic comeback over the Tigers:

Jack.... I have been hemming and hawing about accepting that baton pass from you.... but now that I know that we are fellow Red Sox fans.... I gladly accept the baton.... and promise to only wield it only upon those truly worthy of being "bashed" repeatedly by it.

Paul, my love affair with the Red Sox started with the 1967 "Impossible Dream" season when I was studying in Boston (everybody knows I'm old).

Okay.... My love affair started that same season!!!!
But I was vacationing in Cape Cod at the time.
New England... October.... Leaves Changing colors..... and the world series.
Yastremski !!!!
I'll confess to being there at that time as an eleven year old.... and on vacation with my parents.
I just got all caught up in the hoopla.... and then suffered as a Red Sox fan for the next forty years.... But it was worth the wait!!! And this season seems magical as well.... but the dream is not IMPOSSIBLE.....

I'm loathe to admit this, but i would have to suggest that Boston sports fans have probably had one of the best, if not the best, cumulative decades of any sports city in history.

Curse of the bambino, my ass!

That could be true; if one analyzes the numbers. You could never tell by the whining and complaining of the fans. Not necessarily the gentlemen above, who are extremely mature, but the younger generation who hopped on the bandwagon are an obnoxious bunch.
