It's hard for me to believe that anyone who buys into this nonsense actually thinks it would rally support for their views.
Seems to me that an obvious paradox is this:
If the truckers' protest is "unsuccessful" (measured by the extent to which it manages to snarl traffic in the area and fuck up everyone's day), then by next week no one will remember it.
But if by that measure it is successful, people will remember it as the day(s) a bunch of jackasses created a great deal of inconvenience for tens of thousands of people who are frustrated enough by ordinary traffic jams.
Anyone who seriously thinks this is likely to be a net plus for their cause really ought to pause for just a moment and think this through.
I do admit it looks pretty bad today. I am notably disappointed but what's bothering me is the fact there are NO trucks. I mean none. Even on a normal day there would be at least 1 truck for every 10 cars. I will be honest, it's disappointing but there's just something wrong. Local FOX said DC called in every off duty cop. I lost touch with every single contact I had on the ground. If any of you guys have someone that can find out actual video of what's really happening, I'd appreciate it. How do they put a lid on everything having to do w the ride? Regardless, I'm still standing with the patriots that are pulling together on this. This is what I believe. If It turns out to be bullshit, ill own it and go down with it. I'm a believer. I will do the very best I can. The odds don't matter.
The organizers promised 10,000 trucks and they were going to form a grand jury and arrest members of Congress. Anyone seen 9,970 trucks anywhere? I guess they got lost.
