The opposition to the pipeline really has nothing to do with the pipeline (except where it was going but I believe they rerouted part of it) but where/how they are getting the oil. It is coming from oil sands instead of conventional oil and produces 12-17% more Greenhouse emissions during extraction. Actually, yes, climate change is a hoax. We know that because the 'scientists' who were driving it were caught falsifying data. We also know that because their projections weren't correct, can't be replicated, and because they were also caught emailing about how to cover up the fact that they lied. And if that's not enough....the average global temp has been stable for over 15 years - again in direct contrast to the 'scientists' projections.

Hint: When someone is caught lying, you are supposed to stop believing them.

Wow they miscalculated how much the earth was heating that makes them TOTALLY WRONG!! really lol Climate change has happened on this planet and will happen again that is the reality. Now the debate is How much are we accelerating the process. I mean they only have to calculate what the Earth's Climate is going to do over the next 50 years and account for all factors I mean how hard can it be right? And as far as stable for the last 15 years what planet do you live on?

I mean the basis of climate change isn't hard to grasp. Greenhouse gases like CO2, Methane, Etc. Absorb Heat from the Sun and is re-radiated in all directions ( As opposed to going back out into space) Since it is Radiating some of it back to the surface the average temp of the surface rises above what it would be if the Gas wasn't there. Now the ecosystem has a very cool way of handling CO2. Plants convert CO2 into Oxygen. But the Problem is we cut them down too. We add CO2 into the atmosphere (at about 2.0 PPM/YR) and cut down the built in filter for it. Now believe whatever you want but when you say something is a hoax that is scientifically measured (and is accepted by the scientific community they just disagree on how bad it is) that's just dumb or stubborn.

Take a look at pictures from space showing where the ice was , and where it is now. Both poles and get back to us on that.
