There is a lot more to WIC than just B12, but of course, again, omission makes your view the right one correct?

I am an ovarian cancer survivor, my teenage son has a mass over his heart, which unfortunately affects his hearts ability to properly function, and surgery high risk. I know all that is at stake, but I do not agree with how this shutdown is being used or the tactics. Why was WIC chosen? Why not halt allowing illegal immigrants utilizing our health care system instead? Put a full halt on their approval for medicaid, which they don't even have to go into a State office to apply for, and can do so by fax, and are given automatic approval for. Why not put a halt on that, since it is provided to non-citizens, who are here illegally? Instead of children, infants and pregnant women who are citizens, and often times have put into our system in the taxes they have paid? Why WIC?

Funny, you've spent about 4 or 5 posts rambling on about how you were taken out of context, but you never seem willing to clarify the context.

Could it be because i didn't leave anything out of your comment, when i, um, quoted you directly?

LMAO, your style reminds me of how the Jehovah's Witnesses rewrote the bible that they use. Changing meanings by omission.
And your style reminds me of the right wing radio hosts who, when their comments are pointed out to a wider mass audience, claim they are being taken out of context - without providing any differing context to what it's being claimed they said.

Omission? Do you really think that i think that anyone truly would believe that WIC is nothing more than providing B12? Good grief.

So we're back to it being about Obamacare again? Or not? I'm getting confused trying to figure out what you think at any given point in time.

for the same reason the republicans had no problem spending 12 billion $ a month so Akbar could have a purple thumb 9000 miles from our border, and ignore the citizens of this country by promoting their "cut spending" agenda

ponder that

Again, why WIC? Rhetorically, you can answer this, correct? Or do you keep shifting it back to me, with half quotes, or questions or other issues because you don't have an answer for this very simple, and direct question? Why WIC?

Do you know what irony is?

Half quotes? Got news for ya, it's either "half quotes" or i quote your entire post to address the 2 or 3 sentences encompassing your claim that i was addressing. This "half quotes" kick of yours is about the equivalent of the righties on this board bitching about the name calling. I see you fit right in with these clowns.

First off, unlike you (see above), i do have an answer to your question, in spite of its total irrelevance to the arguments i'm making about the idiocy of your claims. So with that....

Quote:
Why WIC?
Because it's a program of the federal government, and the federal government is currently shut down. Pretty simple.

Now....

You claimed the shut-down was about Obamacare.....then you claimed it wasn't. Then you claimed it was, but that to the Republicans, it was about a whole lot more than just Obamacare. So with that....

Your brilliance is blinding me.

You heard "Because I said so" alot as a child didn't you?

There are thousands of federally funded programs. Why WIC specifically?

I say "Hell Yes" to this a million times. We need to help the poor people in this country before we bring in more poor people!

Anchor babies cost 600 million dollars a year, for the year 2010, in LA. alone. The estimated yearly cost for the nation for anchor babies is 300 billion. The programs they utilize are still up and running, including some schools hiring 2 teachers, one in English, one in Spanish, so that the anchor babies can go to school since many times English is not the primary form of language in the home. These programs are federally funded. Why were they not cut, but WIC was?

How is this relevant to your claims about who or what is responsible for the shut-down?

Besides, i answered once (maybe this'll help).....i'm still waiting for you to answer my question.

Tap...tap...tap...tap...

I don't get the sense that she's arguing for smaller government so much as she's simply making up any reason she can to criticize Obama - even if defending her position means totally contradicting what she said (very clearly, i might add) only 2 posts earlier.

I'm surprised she hasn't come out and laid the blame on Obama for WIC being closed down, as if he went down a check-list of items and personally made the determination of which of the thousands of programs get closed and which don't. Though i suspect that's coming.

And when she does, it'll no doubt be only 1 or 2 posts subsequent where she'll credit the Republicans for the ones she likes which are still open.

She tries to act like she is not against Obama but then blames him for everything.

I tried to tell her this BS stems from gerrymandering (mostly from 2000). These Tea Party GOP goobers do not have to worry about national polls. That is why they can not win a national election. Nobody in the middle would vote for these flamethrowers.
