Default Just wondering

Ok I put this in the sandbox place because I just would like both points of view or opinions is the right word I am looking for. My website has music on it. I have had someone tell me to take it off, but the reason I don's is because it kind of shows my fun super awesome personality!! There is an option on there to turn the music off. I'm sad because I don't know what to do. Can anyone please give me their honest opinion. Like I don;t want to make anyone mad at me for having music on there. Thank you guys very much

is there a way to turn it down at your end. I and other would turn it up at are end. The ones that can't have the sound may be ok if it was lower. Yours is not bad, volume wise. Some other gals it comes on and blast ya. I do not have others to worry about and turn it down as its loud.

I don't like the music to just start playing. Almost, everytime I encounter music I jump outta my chair.
It would be nice to have the option to turn it on once in the site, and then hear the songs you've added.

Geek Alert: Best Web Practices -- Auto play is a no-no. It's best to make the music an option for the user.

ok I took the advice and decided to keep the music on my site but with the option of you guys pressing play. I reallyyyy appreciate the feedback because I didn't want anyone getting mad at me if it was a simple solution but i just wanted it on there so bad. Ok thank you very much!! If the mods want to delete this thread now lol that would be cool

I can not help but be very impressed by a Lady who asks a valid question and actually does something with the feedback. Goes along way to show her concern for her customers and her own integrity. Well done VB...

Thanks. We're often expecting to view the websites discretely and music playing catches other peoples attention.

One other trend is making the website view-able on mobile devices, think 4" high screen for iphone, etc and 8" or more high for a tablet. Using the mobile device vs desktop helps ensure that discrete viewing. Click to call on a mobile phone website is a nice feature as well.

I think that's a smart thing to do Veronica and wish other ladies who decide to put music on their sites do the same thing for the guys because you never know where they'll be checking your site out (and around who). I've always thought music (especially if it was loud or overly sexual/freaky music) playing out of nowhere was a bit tacky and indiscreet.
