Is this just an "oh well, shit happens" moment for you? Probably. I don't want to live In a country that promotes public massacre through apathy. Thats is MY fucking RIGHT, too! (not really, dumbfuck)

If you want to be a shithead about it, be a shithead about it, you simpering pussy. If you're not man enough to get along without a howitzer, then you're no man at all.
( hey shit for brains, how many people do you see walking around with a howitzer, you miserable dumb bastard?)
What about a country that promotes laziness, dependency, illiteracy, and apathetic students through official policies that amount to coddling losers? Don't I have a right to live in a country that doesn't have 43% of the people on government assistance?

JL also expects the Christian Right - useful idiots to him - to force the US into war on behalf of Israel if the Middle East really starts to turn to shit.

DEM CONGRESSWOMAN: D.C. IS ‘SAFEST CITY IN THE UNITED STATES’
Mikael Thalen by Mikael Thalen
September 16th, 2013
Updated 09/16/2013 at 9:55 pm
During a press conference regarding the Navy Yard shooting Monday evening, Democratic Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton called Washington D.C. the “safest city in the United States.”

“When I go on the floor tomorrow evening, I will remind the Congress that this shooting occurred in their neighborhood. This is the neighborhood of the Capitol of the United States, very close to Congress, and yet I just want to say to residents who are coming home today, that the response of the police, the taking down of the shooter so quickly, convinces me yet again that this is the safest city in the United States,” said Norton. “Not safe from attack but safe.”

Unfortunately for the residents of D.C., Norton’s statements are completely unfounded. Compared to other large cities with 500,000 or more residents, D.C. is actually the 5th most dangerous city in the country. Just last year, internal Metropolitan Police Department documents revealed that all police districts except for one were reporting double-digit percentage increases in violent crime.

Not only has the March 1993 law passed by former President Clinton forbid military personnel from carrying their personal firearms on military bases, D.C. has refused to allow its citizens the right to defend themselves despite the Supreme Court’s 2008 decision to strike down the D.C. gun ban.

The Navy Yard shooting which has taken the lives of 13 people, including the gunmen Aaron Alexis, follows the 2009 Fort Hood shooting which also claimed 13 lives. Two examples of military personnel being unable to defend themselves in their own country.

Norton’s bizarre statements come only 2 weeks after her controversial comments regarding Syria where Norton said she would only vote to bomb the country out of loyalty to President Obama.

The shooter was fascinated with violent video games.

I don't know how many others have served in the military and spent Friday and Saturday nights on base but I remember, although many years ago and things may certainly have changed, that heavy drinking was very common. I can only imagine what might have happened had these soldiers been allowed to have access to firearms.

Also, while soldiers were required to qualify with their rifles on a yearly basis, the only ones I saw with handguns were some MPs while on duty and the Officer of the Day.

Yes, I believe the United States will defend Israel if needed. We are your closest ally in the Middle East, and contain The Holy Land for Christians. They should defend God's chosen people.

The Jewish people of this country are closer to my line of thinking than yours, Dick Rider.

It was a "gun free zone".
The shooter had a security clearance like Snowden.
The guy had a history of violent acts.

It seems like the system failed and not the laws. The laws are there, they just didn't get enforced again.

This event didn't have "political" overtones, and the response ought to be nonpartisan.

But ... some comments shouldn't go unnoticed:

As for firearms on bases, the same thing that has happened over the world for decades.

It is "interesting" that Clinton signed an executive order that allowed the importation of literally millions of POLYMER pistols from "Russia" as part of a "trade deal" to "assist" a converted sewing machine factory in "Russia."

Perhaps they "matched" the berets he authorized from China.

It is even more "interesting" that the Reagan Administration secretly facilitated the sale of arms to Iran in an effort to "assist" in the release of hostages.

You might ask, what makes that so "interesting?" It seems innocent enough!

Well, not if the country being "assisted" (Iran) happens to be under an arms embargo.

Yep, that does make it "interesting." Doesn't it?

Hmmmm!
Overwhelmingly more interesting that someone else brings up Clinton, as it relates to firearm possession IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ... on military bases ...

and YOU bring up sales of weapons to a foreign country .. 30 or so years ago?

(FYI: My ONLY point was, and is, while Clinton was "securing" military bases with a no weapons policy, he was authorizing the importation of millions of pistols that could be brought through a METAL DETECTOR ...

The depth of your deflection is incomparable. Caught any fish lately?
