I treat it like shopping for any thing else, shop around, compare, get exactly what you're looking; menu. Plus I just don't dedicate the funds to the hobby its something I do a few times per year.

I spent probably 3 years lurking on this board before finally taking the plunge. I did a LOT of research and found most of my questions answered while lurking. Eventually, I decided that I had to finally meet one of the ladies and it was a great experience. Then I started interacting with other mongers and I've been enjoying it ever since. Lurking has it's value, but if you don't take the plunge you're just a voyuer...Not that there's anything wrong with that.........

I've lurked this particular board (for the most part anyways) a good 1yr plus but if I plan to actually visit the area this yr or earliest part of next I should start getting a bit more acquainted/regular.
