If you bring up gmail in a browser it should just show up over on the sidebar. I think it's actually called Google Hangouts now. And then I think you can put someone's email in the "new hangout" box to chat with them.

Hehe. Yeah. Hangouts is a little different. It allows for easy setup of multi-party video chats as well.

Um... kinda expands what one thinks of when the word "collaborative" appears, huh?

Plus... 1 billion... and they love to take over shit.
I just found out that even though I have location turned OFF on my smart phone... they are still pinging my location and storing it in their databases.

Yes if your concerned with big brother watching what you do, where you go, what you say, what you tweet then you most definately dont want to use google, this is exactly why I am going to stay away from Google internet.

Well google is more public about it than most. Just yesterday it came out that in a court filing, they made the statement that google email users have no expectation of privacy because users have given their information to a third party (them).

I can personally vouch that Google willingly shares their information with Big Brother, and most of it is without a warrant or pursuant to any investigation. About all I can say is I have first hand knowledge.
