Just for the record:

In a strictly legal sense, escorting is not illegal. Nor is modeling.

Neither are covered nor required by any state (that I know of) to be issued a state license. So, with the exception of massage therapy, hang tight out there on escorting & modeling. Nor are "sensual" nor "sexual" counseling/therapy.

Now, of course, the "reality" is that most if not all of the "escorting ads" on BP are a lead-in to play for pay or pay for play. Which p4p activities (or the mere offer of p4p) are the elements of the P criminal statutes.

"Offers" to the best of my knowledge pretty much must be made in person, either face to face or on a phone conversation, per the court decisions I know about.

And Federal statutes absolutely (right now, anyway) protect the Backpage web host from successful prosecution. Unfortunately, the threat of the Attorneys General of the many states concentrated against Craig's List caused that host to shutter its escort advertising venue. BackPage has yet to succumb to that kind of threat.

I don't mind text, email or even PM for first contact. But there should be a phone call before meeting up. Seems like half of Upset NY says I wrong.

I do use text with most I know/known by. But I will not date a gal unless first seeing each other in a public place or a m&g. I can not understand why many on here will go see a gal(or a provider agree to see a guy) where the only contact before hand was text, email or PM. There should be at least a phone chat first for that first time.

But I am told that I just a wrong old goat.

Thank you!! I LOATHE texting as an initial contact. Absolutely my all time #1 pet peeve!! After we've met or talked one on one, I don't mind.

BP is like driving vehicles. Most of us do OK with it, some better than others. However, there are a few maniacs on the road, non-signalling lane changers, no insurance havers, drunk/sleepy drivers, so on and so forth. Just because there's a select few that ruin it for everybody doesn't mean the whole thing should be shut down. Instead, you deal with them when you catch them.

I have mixed feelings about BP. However, I have found it useful when traveling to certain areas. It has been my experience, I will post on the v sites without much response but these same gentlemen will see my ad on BP. They don't seem to watch the v site ads as closely. I get a good quality response for about every 10 responses. I love Eros for my hometown but their v ads are pricey.

take sex out of the equation.....now u want me to pay to sell something of mine.... freedom of speech and press. All about means to an end..... i never see 13 year old girls on bp for sex....nor do i look for it elsewhere. sure it is safe guess to say some are pimped, either by choice or desire. many got their local name to fame from CL and BP. Then upgraded to P411, eros, etc.

human trafficing is not advertised.....the whole idea of it is to stay underground. this would kill their business. now, if the cops would stop focusing on folks looking for an innocent fuck....look into the real trafficing thereof, these folks might find another line of work.

Texting does get old fast. As far as asking the girl for references do your own research. I'm on here p411 and Bp among other places. If you ask me for references I won't see you because I assume you are Le looking for me to help you trap me!!
