Does anyone know of a cheap cell service in KC?

Is this phone for hobby or personal?

If for Hobby just get Google Voice it's free and you can answer calls & texts with your laptop.

Straight Talk from Wal-Mart. Unlimited everything for $45.00 a month and I havent found anyplace without service. The only bad thing is that if you want the neat new phones like the IPhone or Galaxy you pay a premium.

I have Virgin and it runs on Sprint's 4G network. A smartphone plan is 50$. They have both iPhones and Galaxies.

Walmart has StraightTalk with unlimited everything for $45 plus tax. They also just came out with another prepaid plan that is less than that, but the name is eluding me. Old age?

My grandfathered pre-pay Virgin plan is $25/month for 300 mins and unlimited data and texts. That's half of what I used to pay with T-mobile for 600 mins and no data/text. I might use 30 mins a month, so that's perfect for me. I believe that same plan goes for $35 now. .

I've used Cricket for 7 years and use it all over the U.S. I only pay $55 a month unlimited everything and the best part if your month is up and u can't pay the whole bill u can get an extension for 7 days for $20.

Try Family Mobile from Walmart.
I hate Wal-Mart as much as the next person but they are a bargain for cell service. If you already have a phone that users a SIM card you can use that, if not you can get a new smart phone for around $200.
Monthly I pay $31.12 for unlimited talk, text and web.
Its just another t-mobile product but at a better price.
No credit check required, but have to give them ss#.

Mine is for 1200 minutes but I've only used over 300 once. It's only five dollars more than the 300 so it doesn't matter. My plan with the LG smartphone was only 35$ but with the HTC it's now 45$ plus %$ for insurance.

Cheap throw away phones are available from Radio Shack. Cheapest use is $25 which lasts for three months. But, that is for only 100 minutes, or $0.25 per minute. The last phone I got has 100 minutes on it when I bought the phone on sale for $25.00; so the phone was free. The server was AT&T.

Great, if you want to keep a separate phone just for one purpose only. Give them a fake name and address. Pay cash, and you have a phone that you can just pitch when you want.

For what that is worth.
