Slick Willie.....hmmm.......read the history of the legislation leading up to passage of the Commodities Futures Modernization Act signed by Slick and identify the primary proponents of the deregulation of the market. Hint...Phil Gramm. Also look at the intense pressure brought to bear on the SEC in 2004 when the largest financial firms literally became an unregulated global casino free from oversight to leverage their assets to a risk level that was unsustainable given any downward movement in the financial instruments they were promoting. Where did Phil's wife work before she joined the Board of Directors of ENRON?

Slick Willie the Perjuring Sexual Predator -- with his dimotard Secretary of Treasury, Larry Summers, guiding hand -- signed the legislation into law.

C'mon, Whirly, you know they were all tricked into lying about their income and signing for mortgages they couldn't afford without understanding the consequences. Have some compassion, how bout it!!??!!

Oh i see. Can't come up with an economic system that doesn't have you benefiting from poor people, so you change the subject.

I've already mentioned my preference in economic systems. Why don't you tell us yours?? And answer my questions.

While you're thinking of a typically less than witty comeback, why don't you think back and tell us how many poor people ever hired you?? Or, how many poor people ever loaned you money?? Or, invested in your business venture??

You must be exceedingly happy these days. With 9 million fewer jobs than 5 years ago and record numbers of people on the government teat, your support of O'Blunder and loathing of our country has finally been justified.

Never asked you what your preference was. I asked you, very clearly, to name an economic system that doesn't rely on the existence of poor people - where you and Rush don't benefit off the backs of those poor people...that you and Rush constantly ridicule.

So preference, schmeference. You've had how many days to come up with one?

When you're able to do so, then i'll answer your questions. Because until then, your questions are nothing but an attempt to dodge the issue that you yourself brought up when you claimed that Rush was right when he said:

""Democrats need a permanent underclass...they need a certain level of poverty; they need a certain level of uneducated, unskilled people to vote for them, that's their base."

I'm claiming that "...a permanent underclass...a certain level of poverty, a certain level of uneducated, unskilled people..." is inevitable because of, not in spite of, the economic system that you and Rushbo benefit from and champion.

You seem to be having a difficult time of, not only proving me wrong, but simply just claiming i'm wrong.

You can play your little middle school semantics games all you want, thus putting yourself squarely in the group that Rush talked about. I answered your question clearly in post #31 of this thread, now it's your turn. You know my position, what's yours??

You haven't added anything substantive to the discussion other than to deflect from backing up your idiotic, oxymoronic premise that our economy thrives on the backs of poor people. The only thing keeping poor people poor helps is government by increasing dependency. That's what your man O'Blunder is doing...how's the economy doing under his tutelage?? Try harder.

What the hell does that even mean?

You answered nothing. Oh, you tried, i'll give ya that, but you failed miserably.

Nevertheless, i'll answer. I'm perfectly comfortable with the idea of being a capitalist. Happy now?

That's because i'm waiting for you to offer something substantive. Until you do, you're making my job pretty damn easy.

Uh huh. It's people like you who shop at Wal-Mart because it's cheap, then turn around and spit on the people whose lot in life makes it cheap.

People like you disgust me, quite frankly. Not that people like you care about being disgusting, but there ya have it.

Better than it was under the last 2 Republican Presidents, for what it's worth.

"Try harder" he says. The guy who can't come up with one single economic system that isn't designed to rely on large sections of society making minimum wage (or less) is telling me to "try harder".

Now that the victor has earned his crown, the vanquished crawls back to East Texas with his ass strapped to his back!
