Much less pressure will be on him, and he has better players around him, all due respect to LA, but Bryant was the only guy doing well for them consistently all year. James Harden and Chandler Parsons will help carry the load next year. And he will attract more high profile free agents. Houston is now a threat in the west, no doubt, especially with OKC taking a bit of a step back.

Whether or not they will win or not, who knows? But Houston is in a much better position right now then they have been in a long, long time. Just a couple years ago Kevin Martin was their best player.... They are going from playoff contenders to being a top 4 seed. The west is pretty wide open I think.
They tried getting Howard last year, ended up getting Harden, and now get D12 anwyay, funny how things work out.

Hold on TheDon OKC aint taking no step back, I like that you think that though but don't sleep on em boo lol but you are right about Howard having better players around but I feel like- whats the point, though??? The Rockets DONT need him. IDK, unless he get his self back right and perform he need to sit down some where, and NOT on the ROCKETS BENCH! Don't nobody wanna go to the ROCKETS game and NOT see him on the floor, or see him on the floor lollygagging-LOL lollygagging LOL
He can come visit but he can't stay LOL

I feel ya babe, I think OKC and SAS are still the two best teams in the west, but I just think it's not too much of a gap between them and the rest of the west, like in the east where Miami is a lot better than everyone else...
I think this move pretty much means they are going to dump Asik off elsewhere. NBA right now doesn't have too many great bigs, and he can be one of them, so I think the mindset of every team was that he was worth gambling on. If he can just hit some free throws, and stay injury free, the risk will pay off.
I doubt Howard does any gagging, he's probably to lazy, not into doing work. Probably just a lay on my back kinda guy.

Dwight Howard is no Olajuwon. The rockets will be better but won't make the nba finals with him

I'd personally like to see a different BIG but-guess we gonna have to make due with what we got and stay tuned. Maybe we will see him gag and stop being LAZY lol he might just get the motivation he has been lacking, being apart of the ROCKETS! I can always be open minded, lol I think we work in his favor but hope he will work in the Rockets because they are investing in his ass and he better make it count

Dwight came right out of high school. So he has some growing up to do...even though he has been in the league almost 9 yrs. Olajuwon became a dominant player...consider when he came to U of H , he had never played basketball before..........So anyone can learn........spending time with Olajuwon in the offseason will help him alot.

Looks like they are going to deal Asik and Lin to the Hawks for Josh Smith. This team is going to be cra.
