I have lived in Costa Rica for the last 5 years. 100 bucks is high end in San Jose now, but that does not mean there are some ladies don't deserve the big bucks as some do. It is all about the service and what you like. In Jaco 100+ bucks is about normal.

Outside of San jose or Jaco, 40 bucks is high end if you know the locals and know where to look. It all depends on what you like, the area you are in and the time you have to put into getting to be known by the local ladies who just need a little extra to get by with. No different then anywhere else I am sure.
