Have you contacted your Senator and your Representative
demanding that an independent investigation of the IRS is undertaken and if warranted a sp0ecial prosecutor? This is not just a slap in the face of all Americans but is a symptom of a government that has become corrupt.
We will never be rid of the IRS regardless of what tax or revenue system you believe in. There will still be tax code and those that will interpret it as well as enforce it. The fact that we have an agency of the government that is corrupt and not applying the law equally and in a fair manner is not acceptable. Those that have violated the law should face jail time as well as fines. The only way we are going to get this done is by making it known to our Representatives and Senators.

Do you really think it would make a difference? They don't care about us now. Why would they care about our opinion on the IRS scandal? Unless you have a big bundle of cash, you're voice will go in one ear, and out the other.

Due to the courts, I am no longer in Shameless Jackass Lee"s district, by the grace of Tebow.
It matters not which party affiliation you lean to. No agency of the government should be used to infringe on the rights of the people.
I cite the example of one David Dewhearst vs Ted Cruz as one out spending the other and not winning. While you may not directly affect what your representatives do, enough voices will make them at least consider the backlash of their inaction.

I think Issa and the House GOP are doing a very good job...no need for an SI at this time.....an SI would shut down any public information that flows from their investigation, essentially working to the benefit of Obama and the Democrat's in the mid term elections......
An SI is appointed by the DOJ and the president, so I wouldn't trust any SI appointment to be serious about an investigation.
As long as Issa keeps the pressure up with subpoenas, FOI requests, and hearings....I say carry on.

I was speaking with my Congressman's office today. It seems that a federal official can be impeached by Congress. Lois Lerner is such a federal official. Congress should impeach her with a majority vote and the Senate would be compelled to have the trial (which requires 2/3rds majority to convict) and vote for or against what the woman has done. The evidence would have to be presented and statements taken. Lerner has already given up her right to self incrimination but she can try again, statement by statement. After she is removed from office the others in this conspiracy can face the same thing. Anything uncovered can and will be used in criminal and civil proceedings.
A special prosecutor must be appointed by the Justice Department and that is not going to happen.

What a horrendous waste of federal money and time; just indict the bitch in criminal courts and put her ass on trial.

Do not cheat on your taxes and you have no fear of an audit, but I do see that you understand that speaking out could very well cause the IRS to harass you.
It is one thing to bitch, cal attention to, or otherwise thump your chest but, without making your sentiment known to the representative of your area, nothing will happen.
No incumbent wants to face a primary.

The ones around here are already Republican'ts and are Teawiped up the ass, so I doubt that they'd be interested in my take on their next action.
