Well, good/bad/indifferent...when any of us post anything on this SHMB, those comments will be exposed to the good folks, kind folks, the lukers, smart asses, haters and everything else in between.

IMO, the more personal info that is placed out there...the more varied reaction one will rec'd. And we can all see the results of the varied postings in this thread alone.

First off, Stac....I am truly sorry to hear about the issues you have faced the past 6 months. Some very heavy issues indeed. So no flaming intented.

However I would suggest in future for all of us....the less specific RLI share, out in the open board, of our personal life the better.

Once it is posted, we own our post...and with that will come all the "good/bad/indifferent" responses.
The more general a post or thread that is made, the less reaction one will rec'd....but still get out the fact or information we seek to share with the members.

Like in this case "Sorry I was not able to get back, but personal issues have prevented me. But I am now back and anxious to reconnect.>

Now is that "right" that we have to watch what we post, and then not take to heart comments about our post which are contra to what we are trying to say or feel????

No, but that does not change the fact that this board is what it is....the good with the not so good. It will always be that way. So I would suggest, knowing that...be careful of giving up (or seeking too much) detail...out in the open board. Because, as we see, things can get dicey. Feelings get hurt. People get pissed off.

None of us should put ourselves into those type of positions. I'm not justifying anything in this thread....just trying to be realistic of how things tend to flow.

It's gone from an informative thread to a bashing Staci (and any type of religion) thread, so I would say it's gone way off topic.

Staci, you have my deepest sympathy, and empathy. I to have sat in that chair making arrangements under similar circumstances. All I add is that it takes time to come to terms with this.

Seems to me that it's somehow become sport around here to bash every lady that posts. No matter what they might post........it's no wonder so many lady's choose not to be members here, or if they are they only choose to post their ads.

Adeptus/modda, I know we don't close threads around here anymore as a rule. Which is a welcomed change from the way the last mod dealt with things. But given how the tone ot this thread has changed. I think it's only right/fair to grant Staci her wish, and close it.

I did not realize that the rules had been changed on closing threads. That shows you how often I visit the board these days, other than posting an occasional new pic or on the rare occasions when I decide to post an ad...

I would be very grateful if this one was closed, however. I'm hurt enough without reading hateful Staci bashing comments on top of it. I guess showing common decency and respect is too much to ask of some members here. It's truly sad.

Yep I sent my Genie a wish, but how come you think I think its better to hurt someone then help someone, Are you really that slow, I hoped it hurt to know that someone prayed for you because your obviously a non believer. Its interesting that you want to bring up peoples personal traits, I mean really what have your actions shown about you, lets see you like to attack women (closet homosexual maybe), you hate fat people (health nut narcasist, probably spend hours looking in the mirror at your muscles), feel its necessary to attack people who open themselves to the group (probably the last picked during gym class, loner, picked on by other kids) OR your simple a jerk who hides behind a key board sniping at women he has to pay to be with wouldn't it be better overall if you just admit your gay and free your self of the anguish and anger.

(But I have a question...if a provider had chosen to buy a home, why would that be a bad thing or make her a bad person? You're just not happy unless you are insulting someone. Sorry, but I just laugh you off.)

I also shared in another post that I was looking at a career change at some point soon because this chapter of my life was ending, so why would I need to do that if I had a retirement fund set up?! Please show me where I stated that. Go on, I'll wait....

If you're going to be a stalker know-it-all ass, at least have your facts straight before you come on here and try to make someone look foolish! Hate to tell ya, but it backfired on you.

I'm not a stalker. But I've been around long enough to see who does and who does not get to make posts which any reasonable person would consider ThreADs. I'm sure there are providers asking the same question, too.

And, I would hope those ladies hoping for greater exposure would not follow your lead and overshare. For their safety, if not their dignity.

Everyone has bad things happen to them. No one deserves to have loved ones end their lives early by their own hand, or to have family members suffer medical maladies. But it happens. To all of us, at one time or another.

I hope I wouldn't be more likely for a provider to respond to an ISO ad that I placed if I said, "My mom just died, who can comfort me?" than an ISO ad that said, "I'm looking for some fun".
