Wrong COG. My Mom tells me that on the day I was born, a booming voice was heard in the delivery room that said "Oops!"

COG -The Europeans and Americans gave it to us because it is our ancient land. They were acting on God's behalf, whether they knew it or not - though many do advocate our destiny.
The Palestinians need to pay us for the damage they have done in rockets and bombings.

You can believe that if you want, it's impossible to argue facts with a religionist.

You do know that the only reason the evangelicals support Israel is because they expect it to be annihilated in Armageddon, all the Jews killed, so Jesus (Their God, which you rejected) can take over and rule the world. So actually, they are setting up your god to lose, so theirs can win.

Feel better about their support now?

I don't think you have your facts straight.

I think it's a big shame that Jews and Muslims can't get along.

If you look at the two groups - they actually have so much in common. Both groups are deeply religious, they originated in similar areas of the world / share a common ancestry, and both groups have been traditionally ostracized and shunned by the West.

Just imagine all that could be accomplished if both groups stopped fighting and started working together.

will rule with him from Israel during the Millennium. Revelations 19, 20,

What about the blood up to the horses' bridles, Booj? Where will that be, and whose blood will it be? And why would a "god" who is defined as "love" even consider such a thing?

Revelation 14, Jesus first incarnation was that of a servant, one of peace and forgiveness, his return will be that of a conquering king bringing judgement.

Like I said before in another thread, the true nature of God is not love, or peace
or long suffering, though all are part of him. The true nature of God is power,
whatever he chooses to be and do, he has ultimate control if he is truly God.

Who knows, maybe Satan would have been a God more to our liking if he
had won control, or maybe he would have been a million times worse.

Here are some more good whys. Why didn't God kick the devil off the edge
of the universe on the first day he rebelled? Why (Revelations 20)
would he turn him loose again after he has been chained in darkness for 1000
years? Best answer: God gets to call the shots for whatever his reasons are.

We accept that concept every day here on earth, say a janitor (at the
general electric building where the CEO of general electric has his office)
doesn't like the way the CEO is running the company and decides to go up
to his office and tell him how he should be running things.

Well you get the picture.

I admit the whole thing can be hard to wrap one's mind around though.

@Bojulay: I totally understand where you are coming from. From our relative standpoint to God, he's so powerful compared to us it doesn't matter why he does things simply because we have no ability to stop him.

I have long believed that a Supreme Being may have some of the qualities of benevolence, omnipotence, or omniscience, but only ever two out of the three.

God is pretty much a my way or the highway kind of guy.

But would anyone really expect him to have any other kind of attitude.

Seems pretty much the way everyone posting on here would
like for things to be (Their Way Or The Highway.)

Made in his image right?

Hmmm . . . I think I reject your concept of God, Booj. What about the passage that says "God is Love"? Compare and contrast the concept of God as love, as defined in I Corinthians 13, with the God of death and destruction, as described in the Revelation of John.

Then answer the question, if you truly believe this, why are you here, and why do you have several reviews? Won't the God of death and destruction kind of frown on that?
