The best areas is around the mall on Dowlen. There are several good restaurants and shopping centers. Depending on what type of food you like. If you want seafood you should go to Papadeuxs which is off I-10 West.

Hey Sugar, Thanks for the info. I heard the same thing yesterday from a gentleman of Beaumont.
I made a mistake and went to eat Thai... The place seemed okay - the food wasn't good at all!
I'm thinking I might need to try out Floyd's before I go!

Thibodeaux's is good for gumbo and oysters. Good salads as well. The Grill is the best "fine dining" in Beaumont. And Tokyo has good sushi and hibachi. But, yeah, Floyd's is hard to beat for a few beers and a few pounds of crawfish.
