Perhaps I was unclear there...my point was she should not be concerned about what other providers are charging...at all.
She should be concerned about getting enough money to pay the rent.
Not about what other providers think the going market rate should be.

She's in competition with the going rate for services in her area, therefore other providers. She hasn't announced that she's retired, her account's still active, so obviously she's in business, so I don't understand what you mean by letting guys know she is "in BUSINESS."
Being "in BUSINESS" means you are in it to win the business...not to charge as much as your competition. That is not business, that is hubris.

Are you saying that cutting her rates by 50% means she's serious about providing? The logic doesn't follow for such a drastic action.
Not really, it means she is serious about paying the rent. Providing is not at issue here...only the price for services. She has no business, so drop the price...business appears...quickly.

The economy has had a profound effect on the adult entertainment world, and that's a fact. If she hasn't established a core of regulars, then she does have a problem. HOWEVER, to expect a girl to cut her rates by 50% all at once seems severe.

This business is not just about services, but the perception of them. Tell me that gentlemen aren't going to think a lady who was at $300 an hour but suddenly willing to take $60 for a BNG that she's never offered before isn't desperate? That they won't treat her differently, with less regard?

She must be skillful in how she presents the situation. Many companies have 50% off sales at the end of their fiscal year to get rid of old merchandise.

May I ask....how many businesses have you turned around that were within weeks of closing the doors.??
As a biz manager, providers operate in a very high profit margin, low cost operating environment with an operational tempo or number of transactions that is easily controlled.
Being a provider is not the most challenging type of business to manage and make profitable.

Please do not confuse that comment with the pleasure we take when one actually does take care of business...on time, prepared and without drama, interruptions or other problems.

I'm not arguing the fact that she DOES have to adjust something, her rates and/or rethink her presentation, but she has to be careful to go about it properly to make sure it doesn't have repercussions she will later regret.
I agree completely...I am sure you agree she would prefer to regret later than regret sooner.

Specials, rather than abrupt rate drops, are the way to go at the moment. She can phase in a new rate structure over time, if she so desires. A new website, and new photos, would be the perfect opportunity to retool her approach and her considerations for services. (As far as I can tell she STILL doesn't have a website, and that's a huge marketing lapse.)
She is smart enough to pursue a better marketing approach once she has the rent paid for next month.

One last thing: consistency. Since, as blowpop states, her rates still say $300/hour and yet her recent reviews are at $160 an hour, right there we have a contradiction, so she has to make absolutely sure her reviewers are aware that's it's a special, or she needs to make revisions on her profile immediately and not just in her ads telling gentlemen to "ask about my new lower rates."
Sounds like she is getting the rent paid (not quite 50%) and will get her marketing and advertising updated once she has a chance to take a breath again.

My guess is she is doing much better now.!

(Recently I've had a problem with some reviews of lower-priced sessions under "special circumstances," so PLEASE, gentlemen, when you review a provider, indicate in the PUBLIC portion of the review, not just the ROS, if this was an exception to the norm, and explain. We ladies would be most grateful.) I did note that she isn't making use of the line on her ECCIE Showcase offering specials, and she should.

It's tax time a lot of guys dont want to spend too much in case they have to owe too much. Try going on tour you don't have to go far ATX and SA were amazing turnouts for me a few weeks ago and I am going to go on tour again starting on the first.
I am always more busy away from home for some reason, I think it could be that if a gent really wants to see me he will do it asap because I wont be there long.
I did go to houston one time and I was not happy with the results but I am going to give houston one more shot, allstar weekend was just not the right time.
Seriously just go to ATX for 3-4 days get a room on priceline, it's better than sitting at home waiting. Good luck!
