I used to be a hunter safety instructor. You don't have to have a hunting license to get on the WMA and use that range, well you didn't used to anyway ...
There's other options but I don't want to steer you wrong. Call up one of the local game wardens and just ask them what your options are.
The range officers won't check the license - they could care less. It's the game wardens roaming the WMA that could get you coming or going. However, I've yet to be checked a single time by the wardens and I use that range all the time.
