Italian Cuisine
While I grew up on the east coast in communities with large Italian populations, it wasn't until I had the priviledge of visiting several regions in Italy during the late 1980's that I developed a real appreciation for Italian food.
My personal favorite - Steak Florentine. Just try to get a steakhouse to serve a steak that rare - I dare you! LOL
So...
What's your favorite Italian food?

Well since Sicily is now part of Italy, I would have to say the beautiful Ms. Kendalldvoe. I have not had the opportunity, but would have to believe she would be my favorite Italian Cuisine.

Favorite Italian Renee Couture.
Favorite Italian food:
1. Steak DeBurgo although I'm not to sure how Italian that dish actually is even though most Italian joints around here serve it and it is quite popular.
2. Chicken Marsala
3. Pizza Margherita.
Favorite Italian desert:
1. Renee Couture covered in Tiramisu

...and I'll bet it was a 7 course feast!
Haven't had the priviledge...I understand the cook is pretty spicy...or is that pretty, hot, and spicy

Sauce sweetened correctly. That is to say with onion and/or finely grout carrot that liquefies. Not sweetened with sugar.
I prefer the Southern regions. Especially Sicily.
Good thread on this over at GBN.

I was recently reminded of an Italian cuisine experience that rivals my favorite - Steak Florentine
Served hot and raw, deliciously marbelled, Gia Bella has a warm (very) moist center that will tantilize the most discerning of diners. Again, a spicy chef, definitely southern Italian in flavor - fabulous menu.
Most recently it's been homemade lobster raviolis in red sauce - not as much fun, but man does not live by steak alone!

Lately I've been surviving on skittles and tequila served on an Italian.
Does that count?

Nope, skittles and takillya ain't Italian
Besides...it doesn't sound like survival food to me...Next time bring a half gallon of neopolitan ice cream, a large spoon, serve on your favorite Italian dish, lap it up...chase with takillya...repeat until Dawn...or you pass out. lol

Bigh1955...neopolitan ice cream is good!
However, give either spumoni ice cream or gelato a try....yuuuuuummy!

I may have to apply to take a course or two at your culinary school.
Now I'm thinking lemon gelatos between courses...chasing with takillya is optional! lol
