But here I am, thinking that Shep3.0 is going to be out at the club tonight with a bevy of hotties, and Jason Gideon is hitting it with some PSE spinner or other 'till the break of dawn, and I am like, what happened?....

I'll begin by saying I am making some assumptions about your personal life, if I am wrong please correct me, ignore me, tell me to fuckoff, I don't care so it doesn't matter to me...Assumption #1- You are 35 or younger; Assumption #2- Your 'old lady' doesn't know you hobby.
What happened?...You fucked up that's what happened. At some point you forgot about the vow you made to your 'old lady' in front of a Minister, Priest, Justice of the Peace, Captain of a Ship, whoever and chose the life of a Fucktard...Wouldn't want to lose the old lady...Lmao...To make it worse you have a boy at home...
1) You may not have sowed enough wild oats before you ever got married and that's why the grass looks greener elsewhere. 2) Maybe the grass looks greener someplace else because you wish you just hadn't gotten married and you ain't a family man.
Listen, if you ain't happy doing the Hobbying you've been doing, do you really think even a 'sleepover at the Playboy Mansion' would cure what ails you.
Do your old lady & kid a favor and 'Man Up' and do the job you signed on for by getting married and bringing a child into this world. Your 'wife' needs a strong man, a faithful devoted man, a man of deeds not empty words because she knows whether you intend it or not, your boy will learn from you...I divorced my Ex when my two sons were little and raised them with almost no assistance from her. I couldn't wait to watch em ride a tricycle, teach em how to ride a bike, throw & catch a baseball, help with homework, cook for em, fly kites, do homework, hunt, fish, talk to em, build soap box derby cars, say prayers, etc...It's mind boggling what a parent does for their child and the gift they are to parent's lives...
My Dad would have said this to you, "Boy, your priorities have ree-versed polarities."
I will say this, "History is full of alot of people who worshipped the wrong people or things, and alot of em had their blood spilled on some altar because of it."
Tin Man & Pyramider gave you the best advice on this thread, maybe you'll listen up, wise up, and man up. Your 'old lady' & 'boy' deserve a real man, not someone trying to prove to himself he is one.
The Passionate ManSlut

I'm not sure whether to sing Kum-bai-yah in honor of the enlightenment displayed on this thread ..... OR......... Offer a new concept to where all the greenest grass grows: THE GREENEST GRASS IS THE GRASS THAT GETS THE MOST CARE, THOUGHT AND ATTENTION. ........ OR simply throw my name into the growing pool of lets-get-sideways-against-depression advocates!

But, hey, the OP seems to be game, so all is well.

Shep's not making any claims to cure loneliness, but what he can do is show him one hell of a good time. To be willing to do that for someone you've never met, well, you've got to be one hell of a stand-up guy.
Shep, MB, JG, and SW....gentleman, I salute you all!
and you fine ladies as well

Go watch Mr. Destiny, then The Change Up, and remember an old quote about the grass not always being greener. I don't have the answer, but TALK to your wife about what you might be missing. Best of luck, it can be very confusing.

OP, I know how u feel... I bought an import and feel guilty as hell... All the U.S. auto workers will lose their jobs now. But seriously:
No life is 100% perfect; not yours or this hobby lifestyle.
For everyone here and not just the OP: See a doctor and explain how you feel. Start with exercise; it does help. Simple medications can go a long way to help deal with depression.
Fix it before it gets worse... because it's a killer condition. Seriously.

OP is still here, hasn't taken a hike. OP very much appreciates all the wisdom, insight, and offers posited in this thread.
I had a very good weekend with the family and got to really appreciate what I have there, and to really appreciate the perspectives all of you have offered. On a hooker board no less!
I intend to join Shep, JG, Annah, Penelope, Alexandra, whoever else wants to come for a night on the town. I am sure it will not be a cure for any psychological ailments I may or may not have, but I am positive that it will be an experience that I have not previously experienced and will enjoy to the fullest.
