Dow Jones and S & P set record highs and amazing not a word from Whirlway, COG, or the other Republican goons
The Dow Jones and S & P have posted nearly 5 year record highs : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21294084 but amazingly not a word from Whirlway- surely if Romney was in office WW would be boasting that the Romney has brought consumer confidence and hence the surge in the Dow and S & P.
Or if the Dow was to have posted record lows- WW would have field day on posting a thread about how terrible Obama is and surely Ugly Old Guy would have stirred the sit pot and posted some irrelevant thread linking Obama to the record low- that's just how these goons operate they love to report bad news and yet they call them or label themselves true Americans????
Hey Whirly I guess you are going to take a dump on the positive news about the manufacturing jobs that were just posted?

I think you put too much stock in small things like this. This is the first time in "five years" that the market has been this high. Who was president five years ago? That's right Bush. So Obama finally got to where Bush was five years ago. Yep, that's quite an accomplisment considering how fast Reagan exceeded what Jimmy Carter did in less than two years. The stock market is a strange beast. Fire a bunch of employees, lower the bottom line, make your company look good, and your stock value goes up. Nearly 200,000 jobs where lost during this same time. The manufacturing unemployment number went up. How about that statistic? Does this affect me? Well, my 401K did go up but so did the price of gasoline. What will my dollars be worth in 20 years or even 10 years from now? Who knows but I do know that I am putting more money in my gas tank that could be spent on wild women.
The only reason that you pointed out the advance of the stock market (which could all be taken away next week) is that you harbor a deep seated hatred of success and republicans. Any time you think you can get in and make a stupid, cheesy comment you will. So there is your response.

It doesn't matter who's President, WE. The economy isn't getting better. We are still spending like the Secret Service at a prostitute convention.
The Dow is up because the dollar is falling. Both Romney and Obama had the same plan for the economy. Kill it. That's why I didn't vote for either one, and why I don't care about the DJIA.

The good news is, since hyperinflation is coming, soon we'll all be billionaires.

By the way, I should point out that I am not a republican. I am a conservative who has voted for conservative democrats and independents.

To WE, anyone who isn't a big government, statist, police state liberal is a Republican. I'm not a Republican either, but he keeps calling me one.

Take a look at your rants over the last year- you praised Romney and had your head so far up Romney's ass and all you do is berate Obama and yet I am to think you are not a Republican? Maybe you are a RINO- you are certainly no libertarian- didn't WW classify himself as a libertarian as well? What a crock of crap both of you guys are- WW is a far right wing tea party nut and COG you are a sad case of a misinformed Republican.

It is not quite so simple as "Obama finally got to where Bush was five years ago." That was not the problem. It was where Bush left us in the aftermath of September 15, 2008 that was the problem. You would think that someone who claims to be a Professor would be smart enough to put 2+2 together and equal 4.
Fuel for thought, the two most significant downturns in the US economy during the past 100 years both occurred when a Republican President was in office. Hmmmmm!

and the recovery of both was drug out by a democrat trying socialism to run the country.
and you need to look up 1921 when the stock market crashed by a greater percentage than in 2008 and 1999. It took a republican to make the right moves for recovery in less than a year.
