Between this post and PMs I have received, I count 15 interested men, and three interested ladies. Now, I have no illusions that all 15 guys would show up -- between agreeing on a date and guys backing out at the last minute, if we got half of them we'd be lucky. But that's a full table, so I'm OK with it. If we find a venue that works, we could have two tables, or we could swap guys in and out.

The venue would probably have to be a hotel suite with a large dining area. The Westin at Crown Center has a large party room available for only $50 more if you rent the attached bedroom. We've thrown parties there before and it is a nice space. With 10 guys it would only be $15-20 each for the room (unless a guy wanted to keep the bedroom for the night and paid for it).

Of course, someone may volunteer to host, which again would depend on the number of attendees. Some may be more comfortable with that, some may be less.

I gave up on trying to make everyone happy with these kinds of M&Gs a while ago. It drove me batty and made almost no one happy. So this time I will meet with the ladies and see what they want to do, and then just do it, and any guy who can make it is welcome and any guy who complains about the time or the location or the donation or the attendees just doesn't have to come to this one.

That last paragraph wasn't directed at anyone in particular, by the way. I've just gotten so many PMs about where and when and how much and "if he is coming I'm not going" and "why don't you invite her to come?" and I haven't even talked to the ladies about any of it.
