In very interested in swinging but don't know how to bring it up to the SO. Anybody in the lifestyle that would have any advice for me?

If you want swinging to work you have to approach it as YOU love her so much and you feel that your marriage is strong and secure as well as comfortable. You have to be okay with her being with other men as well or it won't work. Approach it as BOTH of your enjoyment with other safe clean couples. It takes baby steps, if she says no dont push it or she will feel that you aren't happy with your marriage or just her. Explain it as exploring together and trying new things together. Who knows, maybe if she says no she may up her game in bed since she now knows you're open minded. If she says yes join a swinger site and pick couples to talk with together. Do not mess it up by talking about how hot other Ladies are on there! Ask open ended questions and make comments about how you think couples look nice.

It's interesting that you brought this topic up. Just the other day I was thinking about my trip to a Swingers club in NYC a few years ago....
The swingers lifestyle DOES work for some, but not everyone. It seems Lexxy knows a great deal more about this then I do. But this is what I found at the swingers club: happy, secure couples just getting it on and having the time of their lives. I even met, get this, a happily married older couple in their MID 70's who have been swinging their entire marriage! Can you believe that?? I don't know if a swingers club is what you should get into just yet, but it might be something to look into. I went out of sheer curiosity; as a novice first timer. I like to try new things, even if just once, so my interest was peaked when a friend asked me to go as his date. (He was a swinger by the way, and at this club only couples could get in.)

When I went to the swingers club, there was no pressure to screw anyone. Actually, I didn't do anything with anyone. The lifestyle fascinated me, but it wasn't really my cup of tea either. I once saw a documentary about swingers that was very informative and enlightening. Like Lexxy said, take small steps. Start with watching documentaries about other REAL life couples who swing, there are plenty of resources on you tube. Join websites, etc, and network. We'd like to give some specifics as to why we found that the Lifestyle(Swinging) sucks and the hobby is better.

We started in our thirties and everyone out there was like 20 years older than we were, which would have been fine if they weren't fat, hairy, wearing granny panties, had a penile implant or worse. On the other hand, because we were considerably younger, they treated us like sex gods. This was a stroke to our egos, but that pro could not out weigh the cons. We wanted what was in those Motley Crue videos from the 80's (or as close to it as our $$ can buy). The only descent women we met were married to a senior citizen and wanted some younger dick, or a hot provider out there who was swinging with her SO. We also meet providers who were on the clock with a hobbyist, on the payroll and taking one for the team. The initial fascination with watching people having group sex wore off surprisingly quickly. I wouldn't have clicked on that orgy porn! Like everyone else our playtime was limited by kids, work, etc. so attending these parties were a roll of the dice regarding the type of booty that was going to be available. We needed a guarantee of a good time for our valuable time. The reason we love the hobby is that there is a smorgasbord of women to choose from like when I 1st started hobbying in Europe. We are also able to confer with other hobbyists and completely research a provider. In conclusion, when you see guys like Charlie Sheen, etc. out and about they don't have a woman from a swinger's club on their arms - they are dancers, porn stars or escorts!!
If you still feel like trying this out do a google search for swing site, one that you do not have to pay to check out the merchandise. Take a look at what is available in your area - by no means will it be of the quality you find on ECCIE. Honestly, I just couldn't have my SO taking one for the team all the time. She just didn't want to have lesbian experiences with women her mother's age!!! If upstate NY is you or your SO's first introduction to swinging, you will likely end up frustrated and/or disappointed. A low population density, together with a low percentage of people active in the lifestyle, combine for slim pickings and difficulty in finding a decent match of personality and sexual compatibility.

However, should you choose to proceed. . . one way to ease into the subject is to first gauge your SO's interest in watching other people have sex. Rent Eyes Wide Shut or Short Bus or some other movie that has an orgy/sex club scene. Talk about it. Would she be interested in attending an event like that?

If so, research on-premise sex clubs and take a trip to NY, Montreal, or Toronto. A sex club allows you to skip the awkward part of getting to know another couple and brings it down to a much more primal level. You can also just go and watch, which removes all pressure from the situation.
