If you want to create a hyperlink like this:
ECCIE as a hyperlink
- You have to click on this tool (found in the MESSAGE menu above the text area).
- When the pop-up appears, type in the URL you are trying to link and hit okay.
Like in the example I gave Marcus, I have separated the code so that you can see it.
The BLUE represents the URL brackets. In them, you will place the URL address of that which you want to link (MAGENTA). The RED represents what you wish to name that URL. In this case it's the words
ECCIE as a hyperlink.
[U R L ="ht tp://w w w.eccie .n et"]ECCIE as a hyperlink[/ U R L]
If you are versed in mathematics, its like using a function f(x). You can also get more complex by using f(g(x)). Like when you want to link a picture, but when you click on that picture, it takes you to a website.
Like this:
If you break up that code, it looks like this:
[U R L="http://www.eccie.net"][I M G]ht tp://w w w.eccie.n e t/images/eccie2012/pblue/misc/elogo.p n g[/I M G][/U R L]
And that is how we explain our little magic trick.
