Appreciation of ECCIE community.
Hello all and a happy new year!
I am on my annual out of town month long trip. As such things go, well it is getting boring not having work to go to. I thought I would see what is happening in the hobby world here (Virginia, too far south of DC to make the trip there worthwhile for an appointment).
The ECCIE board here is pretty much devoid of any current info on the hobby scene, with only a few ads by providers that are normally 100+ miles away. The information board in the area seems to be USA*****.info. The board is secretive, with info controlled by only senior members which allows for the board to be infiltrated by pimps and such to post bad info without any real means of determining that the info is bad or unsafe to boot.
Also, because of the layout, there is no easy way to quickly determine the validity of the info given by a member of the board. There are no clean well laid out rules that have distinct threads easily discernible from other threads. The info is disjointed, and the conversations wander off topic greatly. No info for contacting the providers is given, only through pms can such info be obtained. But without a clear way of determining the validity of the info and the provider of that info, you have no idea if it is a pimp, LE, or a nice guy who actually did take the time to send the girl's number.
Basically to sum it up,
I just wanted to thank everyone in the community for all of the work that is done by the Mods, the reviewers, and even those you just post info. After my experience up here (that it is best that I wait till I return) I appreciate the community that we have in the New Orleans etc. area. I hope everyone has a fun and safe new year, keep up the good work!
