God only knows what would have happened to those people in there had Grampa left his gun at home, or worse, had been forbidden to own one.

Yeah, he was, Pyramider! But he got the job done. The only gun control needed there was his aim.

I'm sorry, if I am being held up at gunpoint I don't want some good-intentioned gunslinger interferring. These were obviously some young kids trying to make an easy score and get out. If they had the intention of killing people they would have opened fire as soon as they entered the place. They could have just as easily, once confronted, opened fire on anyone and everyone. Gun owners are not there to protect me. I don't want to suffer the consequences for someone else's actions. In this case the actions were successful. Could have just as easily gone the other way.

Great video! I've seen it before but I still get a kick out of it. There would be far less crime if concealed carry was more common. If a thug has a reasonable expectation of getting shot, he's less likely to commit the crime. I think that's what's called common sense.
Trayvon wouldn't have tried to beat Zimmerman to death if he thought there was a good chance he had a gun.

Note the terminology from Speedie; "gunslinger" instead of armed citizen. Do you know what a gunslinger even is? Speedie can also second guess the motivation and intentions of the criminals. They would have opened fire as soon as they entered? What movie is that from?
In New Orleans a man and woman entered a Chinese eatery as it was about to close. No shooting, no yelling, no panic. They pulled out guns and calmly ordered the family (it was family owned) to sit down on the floor in the front. They also grabbed the off duty security man (a NO cop) and had him sit with the family. The woman recognized the man as her partner (she was also a cop) and she went to the back looking for the safe (rumor had it that they had $50,000 in it). A shot was heard and she ran to the front. Her nephew had shot her cop partner severly wounding him. She thought for a couple of minutes and went down the line shooting a mother, a father, a grand mother, two daughters, a son, and her partner (who was the father of three). Pretty calm. Her and her nephew walked out. She returned 30 minutes later with all the other cops and she was angry her partner was killed. A fourteen year old girl who was in the refrigerator came forward and said she was the person who had killed everyone. Antoinette Franks was a multiple murderer and a New Orleans cop. There was not shooting when they walked into the place but they killed everyone. So much for your Hollywood induced theories. After her conviction of capital murder the found the body of her father under the house where he had been stashed. Dozens of cases that she was involved in were overturned including some innocent people who she and her nephew robbed and then she arrested them. True crime is more interesting than fiction.

If I'm at a business, and some gun toting kids walk in, I would thank God and anyone else if some old geezer had a gun and started taking them out. I'm a non-violent man, and I don't own a gun, but if someone has me a gunpoint, and someone else wants to rescue me, I'm not getting in his way.

You have no credibility until you stop insisting LL didn't prove you wrong.
And even then you won't be able to prove you're not a weenie!
