I haven't heard of anyone having the issue with getting text messages like you're getting without visiting another site or click on a banner or link, can anyone else confirm they are having this same issue.
So you used your phone to view eccie
So you closed popups when using your phone, that's most likely when you got bit, make sure you got a firewall and a very good antivirus software on your phone.
And get yourself a burner phone

Before you cruise the forums offering advice.... consider reading posts to determine what has been said and what was offered already..... You might also take a moment to consider the history of someone you are responding to.
I'm no novice to either the use of computers or to SHMBs...
I don't get popups on my phone.... I said ECCIE is the only site I visit on the phone..... So IF the problem is a result of my having used my phone to view ECCIE then it is something NEW that has never been an issue before and it is directly related to ECCIE......
I do not believe that to be the problem. ECCIE is allowing software/ads to initialize as part of their delivery bypassing normal ad and popup blockers. It would appear they are being delivered by ECCIE not simply allowed by ECCIE. Somehow some kind of code was able to farm my phone number and deliver me a text message trying to drive me to the same site that ECCIE is trying to drive traffic towards.
That is a little too much coincidence for me.
AS to advise as to which computer I should or should not use to view ECCIE..... If ECCIE were safe then why would it matter? id o in fact own my own business and am not concerned with what anyone around me sees me looking at on this system.
I have been a member of this and other boards for 12 years..... I've never had a single issue over those years until recently and it APPEARS to revolve around ECCIE......
I am not seeing these problems from any other site other than ECCIE on this or the other systems I use.
Rather than trying to turn problems around on the people that report them, suggesting that perhaps it is their fault..... perhaps let the problems simply be reoported so that the admin and staff of the site and look into things.....
