It make screening a hell of a lot easier when you see a lady from P411. Contact her via the site and she can look up all your references. No need to keep track, look up numbers, etc.

That's my point, BigMike. I thought P411 would be a good site for seeing ladies without needing a bunch of references. But in the end the ladies I wanted to see required more than just an OK from P411. They wanted a certain number of *recent* OKs from other providers.

"So if I want to see *you*, I first have to go date two other ladies? But then I won't be able to afford to see you. And I don't want to see them. I want to see you."

Instead, I see ladies who don't require references from other providers. And I don't need P411 for that.

I'm not putting it down. In theory it is great, and it works fine for many guys, obviously. But it doesn't fit my hobby style.

I think you can be screened without P411. I have never been turned away because I am not a member. But then again I have tons of good references. I tried to join once...but just too many un-needed hoops to jump thru.

I used it successfully both in town and out of town. Not quite as valuable in KC where my Eccie handle and review history was enough to get me by, but was much more valuable out of town in areas where eccie was less used or known.

P411 is definitely a good thing and makes screening easy.
Personally I don't get much traffic on mine.

I guess that depends on your definition of "screen", Lilianna. I said they don't require references from other providers. But according to your Web site, you don't either:

I am always happy to meet men that are new to this endeavor or without current references.
I offer discreet employment verification which requires your full name and place of business.

The amount of screening they do varies from lady to lady, ranging from "You saw my ad? Come on over" to "What's your username on ECCIE? OK, you look fine" to "I need your real name and a work phone number to screen you" (which is pretty much what P411 requires).

I can understand someone who says that any screening without references is no screening at all. I get that. But I don't see anyone who requires references. There are a few providers here who I'd love to see (including the one in the post right above mine), but it just won't happen. I joined P411 so I didn't have to worry about that. It didn't work out that way.

And PS: My 11 reviews include one strip club encounter and two massage parlors, neither of which require any kind of screening at all, obviously.

And by the way, when I first started hobbying in Kansas City, I was asked for references by a provider. I had never been asked that before -- they just didn't do that in Florida, where I started. So, I created three fake e-mail addresses with names like xxxbambi69@aol.com (this was a LONG time ago) and gave them to the provider, along with one e-mail address that I knew would bounce.

When the reference check e-mails came in I wrote back one glowing reference saying what a great client I was, one simple "Yes, I saw him. He is safe" reference and one reply saying "I don't do references, don't e-mail me again." The provider contacted me to tell me that my references checked out (she even told me about the declined reference and suggested I not use that provider as a reference in the future). And I was in.

This was more than 15 years ago, so I hope the statute of limitations has run out. A later vouch from her got me in with a bunch of people that I have known for years. Most of the old timers from KC would recognize her name. This probably wouldn't work today, but back then there were no search engines, no directories of e-mail addresses. There was no way to know that the providers I referenced were made up.

Wow...I'm not gonna lie, that's pretty f'n scary. Makes me want to tighten my screening belt even further. I'm afraid of that info falling into the hands of the wrong person who hadn't thought of that idea yet to pass screening. I hope no new girls get hurt, robbed, in trouble, etc, because of things like that. I'm sure there are many ladies saying a BIG THANK YOU to you right now for reminding us to never let our guard down and screen even MORE.

Like I said, this wouldn't work today. It would be easy for you to see that "xxxbambi69@aol.com" had no reviews, no ads, no mention on the web of any kind. I'd hope that would be a red flag.

But I also hope that ladies see that guys can and will do all kinds of things to get around restrictive screening. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be safe. I can't imagine how scary it must be to invite an unknown guy to your room like you have to do. Definitely you should be safe. But provider references aren't the only way to do that.
