A history of the hobby in KC

Well the Yahoo group soon won out in the contest of being the best design for this "new frontier" of sensual adventure.
That was 10 years ago. Susan was swwn many times over the years. Her buddy Angel of Wichita came along, Sweet Petite and so many names have been forgotten, many more joined in. Omahan of Omaha of course showed up in the forum as well. It covered the 4 state area in very short order. She set rules and enforced them. Doing it pretty much on her own. Later she created a site off of Yahoo. It lasted for a short interval. The lady set the standard for KS/MO/NE/IA for a long time. Others had YGroups but few were as well organized, operated and regulated.Pirates
She had gathering for the ladies soon after starting and eventually regional Meet and Greets. To the best of my knowledge, all done safely and securely. Orgainzer!
She was a well reviewed provider herself as well as working duo with a few different friends. Opinions may vary but most of her reviews were 8 and above?
And the lady could party. Many of the M&G's ended with strip club "events"Party
And not long ago, lost in the last crash, the pirate discussion started. Jeff, ss4699's hobby son, help the old boy out here, ladies were the pirates, clients were being taken prisoner buy the "women of the sea" - she was soon the head pirate on the ASPD KS ocean?
She recieved 2 of her crowns at the next to last M&G she hosted in her home? RIght Jeffie?
Well, she is gone from the KC scene now. So those crowns need to be awarded to the deserving in the pirate division of ASPD.
So how is that to be done?
A while back (lost in the crash), a break down on reviews, questions. And got some interesting comments. Now, since January there have been about 300 reviews. So 300 votes (or 2 per review?) To pick the top lady or ladies in each category?
PARTY CROWN - life of the M&G's?
PIRATE CAP-leader of the crew, helps other providers and clients with questions, etc?
TIARA - the queen bee of the boards. Involved in discussions, helpful, etc.
The crowns are pictured above and do exist. Should they be passed on? On left on the shelf?

Seeking such acknowledgment is part of many (most?) people's nature, and this is a business where many thrive on publicity and things sometimes on the level of the grandiose. But in the end, does it really matter? On her deathbed, will she be recalling being a crown recipient? If done for fun, though, it would be OK. You could have MVP, Most improved at [blank], etc. I suppose it could fulfill the needs of some givers and receivers.

she said, what do you think we are in this for?, what do you think is going to happen?
this from the woman that kept my wallet so i wouldn't blow so much money at the casino...course she smiled and said pirate after i gave it to her, but there was never even a dollar missing.
...but it was her way of saying you have been warned, think about what you are doing.
the pirate was to remind the guys where things were coming from, the queen for the ladies cuz she was the mother hen.
so we decided she was the pirate queen so the tiara was given also.
and if you think about it, WE gave her the titles. she didn't ask or try to take that role. she was just susan and did her best to make kc safer and try to make it possible for everyone to have more fun.
leave them on the shelf, they are crowns that can't be filled by just one person, it is to much to ask of just one person. besides, they have to be earned.
the M&G were a huge source of pressure on her, trying to do it all. i know that is one of the reason's she took breaks from the hobby, just burn out.
i know first hand that it is a whole lot tougher than it looks, but it was what she wanted, so it will continue. the same kinda way, same kinda rules. slight variations, just not one person, way too much work, it had to become a "we". so until she returns, kept the party hat.
the pirate queen. mother hen to everyone, but still, for lack of a better term, "keeping it real" to what we are all here for. longevity and experience earn her those titles. the pirate queen set the standard for professionalism, decorum, and discretion. this is business not personal. we can have fun on a personal level, but it is business, don't forget that.
very tough shoes to fill.

I remember headmaster, drivethegreen and Busty Girl (the founder/owner of ASPD) were all active there. SUsan did have a great board in BoardSavvy though.

Sorry HH got carried away with emotion - Street, Strip & Massage - before the net that was about all I could do. Trip to the Chicken Ranch was out...no brothels that I knew of in my neighborhood. So that was it....still thinking on the other....and Ms E may have heard what I said recently?

Good thing I am not hobbying, between you, Tia, June and The Core I would not be able to walk or speak.....
If it comes to a vote probably will be done off air with just guys with reviews doing the voting. Unless someone has a really good alternative not suggested yet!

Re: A history of the HOBBY in Kansas City
The 50's Street
Way back when I was a wee lad, there were 3 meat packing plants in the west bottoms, home of the Kansas City Stockyards. There were 2 banks in the area. On Friday's the meat plant employees would get paid. Followed by a quick stop at the bank nearest the plant. Outside the bank were between 5 and 15 women waiting for them to come out and then.....

Re: A history of the HOBBY in Kansas City
The 90's and early 2000's
THe internet was just getting started. Yahoo groups allowed "private groups" of an adult nature.
SUSAN of KCMO started an escort group centering on Kansas City. She became a mother hen of sorts for ladies in the area, hosting several meet and greets and forming Area69 - a private group with most of the folks from the Yahoo groups. However it did not last long. A provider from Wichita, Jazmine, introduced ASPD to the local folks and it seemed to catch on quickly.

Re: A history of the HOBBY in Kansas City
70's - 80's Massage Parlors
First one I remember was on the corner of Main and about 12th in Mo. IT was near the Empire Theather. I visited it 2 times - it was my first hobby experience and not full service ofcourse.
Then one on Southwest BLVD. Had many nice ladies. There were 2 sisters who worked there. They are still active in the FBSM world in the city. Another one 45 near Parkville.
Sorry no names come to my minds. If anyone remembers a name, add it in! Please!

Re: A history of the HOBBY in Kansas City
80's- 90's Agency
One of the earliest I know of was TLC. Out of Independence, started by Tina, Linda and Cathy. The ladies had worked the streets in various parts of town. They had a couple of different locations over time they were active. The most unusually was in the River Market area.
And at one line they hired a big guy to work security at the DOOR. I think his name was Dennis? But that is another agency story that I don't know much about. Any help on this one?

This is one of several threads that will be disappearing soon from a different location. I though it might be of interest to a few here.
