Default spaces

how do I deal with character spaces disappearing?

off and on, I've tried to line up some info, but they all get whacked out of place when the spaces disappear.

adding dots is one way to do it, but its awkward and its a messy way to line stuff up.

any suggestion?

Maybe provide an example will help us visualize what you talking about.

I believe that I know what he is talking about. I have tried to present infomation in table form, but it gets totally distorted, as blank spaces go away. Nothing lines up in columns as I had entered it.

I am interested in the answer, also. If there is one.

Repetitive spaces are not retained in the posts. No matter how many spaces you put in, only one is retained. This is a vBulletin characteristic.

here's an example

1st line is how it should look like with dots as spaces.
2nd line is how it looks when spaces are removed.

Not to be a smartass, ok, well I guess I am but I believe you have your Workaround.
Maybe not what you wanted, but it is what it is.

Yes, that will allow you to indent your paragraphs but it still does resolve the issue of not being able to enter data in aligned columns which is what the OP is referring to.
