I think you missed what I'm talking about, I know all about what your talking about, and they don't help you when you have a provider or client giving out their member id for someone else to check their status, what do you think they are going to do log in from that person PC/Laptop/IPhone etc from the same location they are at.
Most people use multiple devices to access the internet, they are not going to have the same IP address or cookies and you can always delete cookies from your machine so when the person logs in again your system wouldn't even know they been there before, amd let's not even talk about proxy servers.
What happens when they travel or using a dynanic IP or any type of proxy server, or at a internet cafe using someone else internet access device, throws ip and cookies tracking out the window,
in this business people are moving around..alot
Like I keep saying this would be great for everyday people who aren't having multiple partners daily, but it really hit or more a miss in this enviroment. particulair with people doing BBFS
I think this would be much better suited for dating/relationship sites where people aren't bouncing around.
I take it you have the standard disclaimer in your site terms of agreement that absolves you of any liability, I know I would on any site I would own.
People will not accept it's their own responsibility if by using your site something happens to them because they made a bad decision.

You're right...but we monitor for an excessive number of devices accessing the same account. For example, if say 20 different devices accessed the account (we don't want to post the exact number), we'd be notified, and would put the account on suspension until we clarified the reason with the account holder.
Gmail and bank websites do something similar.

@Calista:
Actually, with herpes, there is a phenomenon called viral shedding (google it if you are unfamiliar with the term). So even when no sores are present, and no symptoms are visible, the virus can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact.
Syphilis can also be transmitted when there are no symptoms present. Here is a link to one article discussing syphilis. This was just the first one that popped up on google, there are many other sources with the same information.

The information we quoted in our previous post was from cdc.gov (Center for Disease Control and Prevention).

Both these diseases are spread through the excretion of the sores that erupt from having it. (with the exception of HSV-2 which can be transferred from skin that doesn't have a sore, and is why prudent gents should choose their playmates wisely) So, you could engage in protected sex with a person who has either, as long as there are no sores, and not contract it. The link you provided is a general STD fact sheet, below you will find specific links to the STDs in question. Please, be mindful of the medical info you throw around. I don't see *any* provider or hobbiest continuing a session if anything resembling these sores are present, and saying condoms won't protect against them is a veiled lie.

We're taking about escorts and hose who use their services here, once they give out their member ID number there nothing to stop everyone they gave it out to from inquiring, so quite a few people will be using the info, you'll be doing alot of suspensions. once they give it out, it's out there and there is nothing you can do to keep people from sharing them.
it not the amount of people that use the member id, it being able to validate that the member id is the person in question. if i took a providers member id and looked her up in your database, how am I sure it's really her, I have nothing to cross validate the member id to the actual person.
I don't know her real name so I can't cross reference with that. and I seriously don't think providers will be giving out their real info soon to all who inquire, most are so UTR the people that live with them don't know what they are doing.
Like i say not trying to bust your chops, just giving you a heads up on some problem areas you're going to run into on this type of client.
it sortta shoots the user in the foot. it's not like they are only giving these out to only a few people, it will be everyone that wants to check them out before they see them.

It's not enough for Member ID to be verbally given out, an OK *MUST* be granted from a logged-in account holder for an STD report even to be viewed. Members also have to log in to view reports and request a Permission from another member. These activities are all logged and monitored.
Could people still "sell" clean accounts? Sure, but the people using it would have to log in to issue Permissions, request Permissions, AND view STD reports. Theoretically, still possible, but difficult to do in such a way that we would not notice the unusual activity. In that regard, we are in the same boat as sites like Date-Check, p411.

that's just giving permission to to veiw the data
for example
Betty Boop give me her member ID number
I come to your site and make a request to see Betty's info
Betty logins in to approve me seeing her info
here is where the problem occurs
Betty just gave me the member id of someone with a clean profile, (not her)
the person that sells the info makes sure that they only sell the profile to a very limited amount of people, say 10 people/$1000 a pop
I just made a request to see the seller profile, they only thing I got is a member id.
the real profile owner logs in and approve the request, since they are using the same IP address everytime it looks copacetic, all they have to do is approve request whenever one pops up.
I now have premission to view the sellers good profile info,
since I know nothing about betty I can't validate it's her info i'm viewing. I can't even validate the member id she gave me is her's
my question, would I be looking at a copy of her actual test results that she submitted, that put's a name to the results, or just another number.
you know date-check and p411 aren't giving info that may directly affect someone health so they don't have to be as diligent in their validations.

You would not be able to see "Betty's" name or any information about "her." Just a user name.
"Betty" would have to do all of her Permission-issuing, Permission-requesting, and report-viewing through the owner of the "sold" account. Possible, yes, but a lot of hassle for the "sold" account owner. But absolutely possible.
Just as p411 advises girls to only use that service as one step in their screening - we advise anybody using our site to use CheckMyMate as ONE part of a strategy to stay safe. Members should take all precautions they would normally take if our site were not available to them.

I applaud your effort. I think its a good idea and I hope it starts to pay off over time for you guys. I always like people starting new businesses and this is as good as any out there in this world.
Iam considering using it but as im sure you know the secret here is getting people engaged with the service.

Thank you :-) We appreciate the feedback. We put a lot of hard work and thought into this project, and we are really happy about the opportunity to explain what we are all about.
