Just saw an interview on CNN (Anderson) with Ms. Smith, whose son was the computer "geek" and communications guy there who was killed, and she had a lot of direct criticisms of the administration, across the board, including Obaminable directly, regarding how they have handled the aftermath AND that they had the responsibility of protecting her son..... her only son.
Although she did not want to call them liars she said she was lied to directly by Ambassador Rice and was promised information and not provided any....... not even the autopsy results. She named names who talked to her directly. She was "characterized" by Anderson as being emotional, but that was not her demeanor and attitude. She was upset but it appeared more toward how her son and now she was being treated by them. She stated clearly it was not politics, it was their responsibility to keep her informed.
Anderson had a guest who was a former (assistant) homeland security advisor who rattled off the various "offices" in the various agencies involved that had the duty of keeping family informed and communicating with the families. She said it was apparent they were not. She also said it was clear the administration knew within 48 hours what had happened and was not reporting the truth.

I think the administration thought the media was going to give them cover on this one and the Democrats were going to circle the wagons ... so they strategized to bullshit .. and move on to the "next topic" in the campaign. Someone is ill-advising the President.
Dumb internal decisions in this administration are getting people killed that are not usually killed.
