Better check your facts; who are the two senators who represent DC? As you made your point for me the congresswomen can't vote in the normal course of events.
The 23rd amendment makes the point clear; DC is not a state period.
I also notice that you didn't address the original question of PR.

Also, you're misleading people when you boldly state that they pay "NO FEDERAL TAX". Please explain to your audience why this is not true and why you chose to mislead them.

Sorry, it is you who is doing the misleading here. I would encourage you to reread the post you so fervently quoted. In no way did Galt say ANYTHING about Puerto Ricans specifically in his comment about federal taxes. It was a tangential riff saying that any person - be it white, black, purple, or otherwise - who pays no taxes into the system should not have a vote.

Well Galt no need to check my fact as I was strictly speaking of dc on which you were and are completely wrong. As far as your new statement regarding the senate you neglected that in your first statement. But to answer no DC has no senate representation nor does Guam or Puerto Rico. As far as congressional representation Puerto Rico has the same as DC a non floor voting delegate, but they can vote in committees...at the discretion of the Rules of the House, which are made every new congressional session...Puerto Ricans can not vote in Presidential elections but can vote in Presidential primaries.... as to the issues of Puerto Rico statehood I could care less, its up to them to decide...

Galt mentions Puerto Rico in the first part of his post. This thread is specifically about Puerto Rico. If I haven't made it clear enough for you to understand (or if your search engine can't find the Google), Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico *DO* pay taxes, just not federal income taxes.
Maybe you don't count paying Social Security and the like as taxes. That's fine. That means you've just stated that they aren't paid for by taxes. Enjoy your slippery slope.

But they are US citizens.
What I've done is put you in the shoes of an Englishman in King George's England. You'd gladly tax the English citizens in the American colonies without giving them a vote. In you're mind they are a lower class of citizen that doesn't merit the same rights. And what's with that rubbish you've been hearing about all men being created equal? Poppycock! LOL. Tea Partier you ain't!
I'm sure Galt believes a vote starts and ends with paying taxes, not citizenship. Okay, fine. Then let Galt lead the charge to end ALL taxes for PR, US Samoa, and DC. 100%. Nada. The United States will still have to honor treaty agreements, it'll just cost more. We'll send the bill to the Republican Party headquarters. They can make up the budget shortfall.

Longer, you helps you get dressed in the morning? If there was anything to what you say do you think that someone would have made the case by now? Do you really think you have discovered something new? Let me ask you this from a partisan point of view; how do you feel when democrats try to disenfranchise serving military people in other countries? These are 100% citizens that are having their voting rights tampered with by dems all over the country. Now if you are truly concerned about those "voting rights" then I know you were furious and vowed never to vote democrat again. Right?
