For the love of Pete, WHAT is going on around here? I love giving references and referring my friends to other lovely ladies in the area they want to play. Variety is the spice of life, right?

But its really hard to give a reference when people don't check them....

Lately, (and way too often) I have been hearing from past clients that they've given my name and email address as reference info to ladies they are trying to schedule with, and then I receive no reference checks. Then when I see the gentleman later, he saw her, but I know she never contacted me. If you ask for references, and they're given, why not actually check them? I asked a lady I've never met that very question and she actually told me that since she's seen my board posts she was "ok with that". Um...what? Knowing someone exists by my name is enough to decide that a guy is safe to see? Whoa. Really? So what happens when "Bob" tells you he saw me in July and you never check with me, but later you realize that "Bob" is really rough and doesn't know how to behave behind closed doors? That's information I would have mentioned IF I had been asked about "Bob". Or worse...what if "Bob" and I have PM'd but never actually met?

I don't mean to imply that references are the only method of screening, but I see no reason to ask for refs you aren't going to check. It gives people a false idea of a concern for safety that isn't actually there. And I also think that a client should want to know whether his refs were contacted. If the lady asks for them but didn't take the time to check him out, how safe are her business practices? Is she safe to see? Boys, please do me a favor...if you give my name as a ref to a lady you are scheduled to see, please let me know. Especially if I'm your ONLY reference!

Me personally, when I'm trying to gain references I used to see a lady, get a p411 ok, and then write a review with bthe corresponding dates. I don't do this as much now....but it definitely helps with touring ladies. The locals have multiple hours and options for contacing refs.....but the touring girl seems short on time and will often make an exception in a shorter time frame.

Most times ladies will check the p411 and be satisfied with that if you have the right refs. Which might not be the safest of options....but I'm sure its convient for short notice appointments. Most ladies go on how they "feel" anyway.

Not to mention some ladies don't like other ladies or contacting refs.

I understand, but when a guy contacts you to schedule, and you respond with "send me your references"...you should actually check them, no? Otherwise, what's the point. I even check with ladies who gave the guy a P411 ok just to be sure that things are still ok (i.e. if she's seen him since) or even that she actually meant to ok him and that it was the same guy she saw. Call it double checking or whatever. I once saw an ok given and it turned out to be the wrong guy. He had sent her a request and she ok'd him but didn't remember him at all. Not a good sign.

I try not to waste my time on figuring out why other people do or do not do certain things, just me. I do what I can to keep me safe and in reality that's all I can do.

Nina, funny you mention this. Being falsely given as a reference was what I posted in the powder room that has now suddenly disappeared. I would have never known someone was using me without seeing them if the provider had not contacted me to verify. So there are some ladies who do still check.

So with that being said, I do hope the ladies check references cause my name is being used and I did not see the particular.

No matter what, touring or not, I screen thoroughly because I’m not a ninja, and I don’t want to put any of my lawyer friends to work.

I’ll never understand why people don’t give references, but thankfully it is very rare for ladies to get upset about reference checks. When I get a reference request, I answer it right then and there.

If he has many P411 ok’s and they are recent, I go with that; if not, I may contact one of the ladies and request further screening.

To answer the OP’s question, if a gentleman gives several references and one of his references is a friend of mine or a lady I respect for her thoroughness, I’ll just check with that lady.

I always screen/double screen/and triple screen.....
But I get the same problem as you Nina...
I have several guys who say "I am ok cause I have seen so & so"....AND that means squat to me,unless I check for myself!

there have been alot of guys emailing me lately with "older than a year" references....backpage fly by nite girls....or no references...I have to have some way of verifying you OR you "aint getting any rides on The Highway To hell yeahhh"...

we all gotta stay & play safe!

I keep getting "no refs," out-of-date ref's," or requests that are outside of my time frame. Errrr!!!!!! Lol

What are you ladies recommendations for guys that are new. (as in only seen a couple BP girls). It's like credit....nobody want to sell you anything because you don't have credit and you cant build credit because nobody will sell you anything. Lol

P411 or date-check are good places start. There are also a few newbie friendly girls, just do a search.
