Guys-- What works best for you?
Forgive me if this has already been discussed.
Currently I will only communicate via email or pm. I am thinking of getting a hobby phone now that I am planning a major tour. My question is.. Do you prefer to email or call providers? While email is a lot easier for me I believe in good customer service. It is not always about what is easier for the business but what is best for the customer.
So I would like to know what you prefer... Do you prefer to call or email?

I prefer email, but I'm an old fart.
I tell ladies I contact that I can communicate by email, text or phone. My least favorite is phone. I also say that if I can't talk at the time they call, I'll tell them I'll call right back when I can.

I prefer to email and text. I like to correspond thru email. However, I don't have email on my phone, so it does take a little longer to communicate. The day of, I prefer to text. I like not knowing her voice just for the added suspense when I knock on that door.

Initial contact via email seems best. It is a good way to make sure schedules match and too keep the conversation private. Once an appointment has been made, switching to phone on the day of makes everything easier. Of course, both parties need to know of any phone restrictions as far as hours.

This is how I do things, and have never had a problem. I prefer to have a few conversations or at least ONE before I meet a person, but do prefer email until he is verified.

I perfer emails/pms as initial forms of communication. Prior to seeing you I would like to talk on the phone to let you know I'm on my way and confirm everthing is still a GO!!

I always feel as if I'm putting someone out by calling them out of the blue. I prefer getting all the introductions, info, dates, and times arranged via e-mail first. When traveling I will call once I have arrived to confirm the time and location.
The ladies get enough useage on their phones without chatting with me until time to meet.

+1 I agree, that way you can kind of feel things out to see if things are even going to work out
However it can be a case by case type thing and i try to accomodate each, some like texting some dont , i just dont like a phone call out of the blue

Much, but not quite the same as Shorty, I prefer email all the way! I know I need one, but I don't have a "Hobby" phone, but I do have one that has most all the bells and whistles including email. Texting I don't really like as it can't be done (at least on my plan) without leaving "traces"! I too like not knowing her voice either till the moment the door opens for the first time!! Old fashioned and stuck in my ways I guess, but email only is my #1 choice!

Naomi, if you get an Android phone you can link a Gmail account to it (I have 2 linked to mine) as well as a G-Talk phone #. Are you looking for one from like Tmobile, ATT, Sprint etc or something from Cricket or Boost?
Nice thing about the gmail on the phone is you can still operate via email only, just you can be out and about and still get contacted

I prefer E-mail as it allows the lady to respond at her leisure. The one thing I don't like about Email is when I don't get any response at all.

I could be getting Tmobile service anytime from now.
I had a google voice account and close it and guys were still able to get through someway somehow. It was the most frustrating thing ever because I linked it to my personal phone. I had to change my number after this. I refuse to use google voice again. I rather use a service like vumber or get another phone. What do you suggest?
I love the email on phone idea though.
