Fake $20's

Greetings from a aggravated Nikki!

Has anyone had experience with counterfeit bills lately?

I had a wonderful date today with a well known great client. Completely trusted.

I stopped on my way home and got gas the clerk ran the marker over both of the $20 dollar bills I used,one was fake.

He gave it back to me.

Then a few hours later I went o deposit the rest and a few more came back as fake.
I don't believe the client knowingly passed these off,and I've let him know what happened.

Has anyone had fakes given to them before?

not personally.....but some LE friends of mine and fast food drive through friends have told me alarming stories in great numbers.

Never rely on the pen test always look for the security thread. That can't be faked. Only thing that has come close is when they washed the bill and made it a different amount than the original. It says the amount on the thread.

I can understand passing one fake bill accidentally, but several at one time? Where did he get them from?

Always get money directly from the bank. I believe banks make sure their bills, especially the 20 dollar bills, aren't counterfeit before distributing them out to the public.

Honestly I would hate to think he did this on purpose ,he's a sweetheart and always brings a little gift,been around forever.

Sounds a little fishy to have more than one fake bill come from the same guy. Kinda surprised u got the fake bill back too. Then again why would a well know client risk being blacked balled over a few $20s

I really thought it was a fluke, like that one $20 you think looks shady...which is why I went to my bank with the first bill,and the rest....thought the pen at the gas station was faulty.

Nope, I was wrong.
Maybe I should start taking visa.

The guy at the gas station didn't really want to give it back...
But then he had me an embarrassed redhead/Scorpio demanding it back so I could go to my bank, it was one of those sketchy stations with glass around the register, it was a give it back because I think your full of shit moment....
