Who cares. If you’re in the country illegally and can be legally deported I hope it happens. That includes the people going back to Colombia. If you want to hang your hat on the “flight accommodations” have fun with that.

Clinton and Obama were both criticized. As was Bush. Obama went harder than Bush and your # is low for him. All assholes in their own right and own way. Oddly, they didn't end up on the precipice of trade wars with Colombia over it.

On this measure, orange man is bad. There doesn't seem to have been the promised prioritization of violent, hardened criminals here that you're hanging your hat on.

And Colombia was justified in sticking up for the dignity of its citizens, just as we would be if the situation was reversed.

I’m certainly not hanging my hat on deporting violent criminals. That however should be the priority and is a bonus. Any illegal that can be legally deported is in play.

Wasn't just the military plane. The reports from the flights to Brazil colored the response.

The cuffs being on when they weren't supposed to be by agreement. The medical issues reported. The lack of water on a 12 hr flight The lack of restrooms.

If an American were treated that way, the reactions would be swift, aggressive and loud.
