Just pick up a bottle of eaceh of the following. Obviously there are much better options for each fo these, but these are all high enough quality to please anyone you would be seeing.

Whiskey - Jack AND Crown
Scotch - Johnnie Walker
Gin - Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray 10
Vodka - Skyy or Absolut
Tequila - Patron or Jose Cuervo
Rum - Bacardi

You'll also want to keep mixers ready:

Coke
OJ
Tonic water
Soda water
Margarita mix
Limes
Salt

Whisky: single malt Irish types lime Jameson, Bushmill. The older the bettera but that's expensive .
Scotch: Glennfiddich is the only one I've tried recently but I really liked .
Vodka: Crystal Skull, Stoli, Gree Goose
Beer: I prefer imports or Micro łBrews

I would say that having drinks for your clients is appreciated no matter what.

I 2nd the suggestions the gentlemen before me have said, and I would only add either Cuervo or Cabo Wabo white tequila.

However, with you sweetie, I'll probably just need some water to help me catch my breath while we take a break.

I would stick with beer babe. You may be creating your own problem with liquor. Some of these mother fuckers can't hold their liquor, some will get whiskey wiener and I'm sure you don't want that. Besides beer is cheaper, comes in its own consumption vessel, does not need to be mixed, has a lower alcohol content, and takes more time to consume so you don't go back and forth mixing drinks.

Learn to pour a mean Black and Tan... However this requires Guinness and Bass
on draft.

Other than that:
Crown-with 7-Up
Johnny Walker Black Label on the rocks or with a little water
Patron Chilled and served in shots.

I don't usually drink (although I have been known to be coerced into it by ladies), but it doesn't seem to be a bad idea to keep a variety of different types of drinks around to cover different preferences.

Really, you should keep on hand first what -you- like, then cover your basics (beer, whiskey, vodka, rum, wine), imo. Of course if you have any regulars, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to keep what they like on hand (although I would think most dudes would bring their own and contribute).

If you customers are taking Viagra or other hard on pills, alcohol can have a negative effect on them. How will you explain to the cops, why there is an old guy in your bed, naked with a woody, and you don't know his name.

Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
Inigo Montoya: What's that?
Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Some of you have seen my bar; "Fancy's Pub" goes through a fair amount of the aforementioned Jameson and Bushmills, plus Celtic Honey, (a favorite of mine, a spiced honey and whiskey liquor that's hard to find); Guinness (the stuff actually BREWED in Dublin and not here); Smithwick's Ale; Bailey's, O'Mara's, and other Irish creams; and "trial runs" of various stouts/ales/lagers/beers from the Emerald Isle. Occasionally I'll add a bottle of Glennfiddich for the Scots. I also collect imported rums, particularly from the Caribbean. (I will play "Let's Make a Deal" with anyone who can get me more Chairman's Reserve, regular or spiced, from St. Lucia! I adore that rum, but it isn't available in the USA, and due to Texas' antique laws for the import of hard liquors, I can't have it sent direct.)

Also on the bar: Three Olive Vodka and at least one other representative of that species; Sambuca; Maker's Mark 46 Bourbon; a couple of good American whiskeys whose names I forget at the moment (I don't drink them and I'm not at my incall to look at the labels, but they aren't Crown or JB)); red and white wines (my new favorite being Ceretto Moscato D' asti Vignaioli Di Santo Stefano); the Texas Renaissance Festival's mead; and some things I've been given by kind fellows that came from other countries that, quite frankly, contain liquors I'm a little clueless on, but the bottles are sure cool. I also keep various sodas and mixers on hand, and Dasani bottled water.

Yep, we Irish girls take our alcohol seriously, and my gentlemen friends seem to appreciate the selection. New additions to the line-up always appreciated. I love tasting sessions.

(Like anyone who serves liquor, I make sure no one goes out the door inebriated, and I am familiar with the effects of alcohol on various medications. Slainte!)
