My guess is there would be far fewer ass-kissers voting yes and a bunch more realists wondering, "Well, the principle is sound, but EVERY man? No. I've known too many psychos, douchebags and worthless, violent assholes to vote yes."
In that same vein, I've known too many ROBs, B&Sers, violent bitches, upsellers, manipulative housewives and self-satisfied divorcees to vote yes.

Oh man it pains me to say this but....... I agree.

Which monger is the disrespectful one:
a) The monger who criticizes an escort for some failure of professionalism?
or
b) The monger who criticizes monger(a) for having unrealistic expectations, leaving unsaid (and sometimes said) the insulting notion "They're only ho's. What you expect?".
My belief is that high expectations form the essence of respect. Fulfillment of those expectations, in turn, motivate me to elevate expectations of my own behavior. It's a virtuous cycle.

It seems that alot of people feel that being respectful means being a pushover. I disagree.
Am I not understerstanding the meaning of respect?

I think as long as you can respectfully and tactfully argue without all the name calling, etc. respect is a given.
Some people were never taught how to debate a subject without name calling when they are pushed into a corner, or can't prove their point. They have nothing useful to say, so their only defense is to put others on a level that makes them feel superior.
I don't think bowing down to either sex is respect....that's cowardly. A real man or woman has the ability to get their point across without interjecting utter stupidity. I will be the first to admit that I have let my mouth override my azz on a few occasions, and in those instances the men had every right to call me on it. I don't think however, that calling people bi3ches, whor3s, and fktards, is a nice way of trying to prove your point.
If you are one who feels that women don't have a voice because of the job they choose to partake in, then maybe it would be best for you to put every provider on ignore...then again, how would you make an appt.? Many men are just too intimidated by a woman who IS more than an escort lol. They are so accustomed to feeling bad about themselves that the only way for them to get any relief, is to say the other person is worthless because of what they do for a living. Difference is for many of us here guys and girls, this is just what we do...not who we are.
I don't think it's the majority here who have a problem with respect...just the few loud mouths who seek attention.

Its fascinating to see how Houston's poll is doing against National, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. I've posted this poll in all and clearly Houston's perspective is telling.
This poll is to say...
As a hobbyist, I will respect women. Period.
She may be a monster but are you not going to pull her out of the way of truck if you're at the scene?
As a fellow poster *** ***** said in response: **name edited by STAFF**
"Dogger:
That credo should cover interaction with all human beings. And it's sad it even needs to be stated.
Mutual respect, in my book, is a given UNTIL an individual proves they are not worthy. Then, lack of respect is NOT an option. Walking the other way, while standing tall, IS THE ONLY option....
Thanks for once again expressing what many of us have said before....but some folks just don't get it!"
I couldn't agree more. It is a core value. You have it or you don't.
I've hesitated in wading in here so everyone can define it for themselves but...I just couldn't help it. So, feel free to define it on your own if you wish and vote your conscience.

I can't vote on your poll given the current wording. You have set some pretty absolute conditions that make a reasonable answer impossible.
How about a modified credo that looks something like this:
"I will endeavor to treat others with initial kindness and be slow to judge them until I have a better sense of things and then I will extend as much respect (or disrespect) to people as they merit in a given situation."
