You had to salute any man who could shut up Muhammad Ali, if only for a short time.

I saw that fight on TV while waiting on my car to be repaired. Some ass wipe was mouthing off about how Ali was going to kick Norton's ass. He went on and on until Norton broke Ali's jaw and kept running. After the fight I told him that Ali really gave him an ass kicking didn't he? RIP Ken Norton.

I never saw that fight, that may be because I was not in the world yet. But he sounds like the buster Douglas of his day. They say he broke the jaw of Ali in the first round and the fight lasted 15 rounds. That's awesome, today he would be lucky if they let him out for he second round.

R I P Ken Norton. He won that fight with Ali, and lost two other close decisions to Ali. A lot of boxing fans feel he was robbed on the two close decisions and should have three wins against Ali. My respect goes to Norton, because unlike Ali, he served his country with pride and honor when asked to do so.

Who'd of thunk 20 years ago with Ali trembling and silent with Parkinson's that he would of outlived Norton and Frazier?

RIP Champ. One of the best in the "Golden Age Of Heavyweights."

Semper Fi. Rest in peace brother. At 52 years old, I am old enough to appreciate the boxing entertainment he gave me. Norton came from an era when boxers didn't run, and left it all in the ring.
