1984 Revisited
The Associated Press (AP), the largest news gathering organization in the world, has announced that they are going to remove some words and phrases from their style book. The words/phrases getting the most attention are "illegal alien/immigrant" and "islamist". Spokesperson Winston Smith said that you can't make someone illegal. You can only make an act illegal. So I guess using that logic it would be wrong to say that someone is a rapist or a criminal. Rape and committing crime are verbs and not nouns. You can't call someone a molester but you should refer to them as someone who has been convicted of molestation. Winston Smith went on to say that they hoped to eliminate some more bad words in the future issues. He was looking forward to implementing the double ++ policy.
